About
WE ARE TAKING NEW CLIENTS! I counsel on many sensitive and intimate topics. Are you struggling with marital issues, have an at-risk teen, grief, gambling, substance abuse, LGBTQ issues, depression, anxiety, chronic pain, an autoimmune disease, or just life issues in general? Is a relationship or career choice no longer serving you in a positive way? My office is a nurturing place that welcomes openness and individuality. I'm an outside the box thinker, a supporter of the LGBTQ community, someone who has a personal investment in your success, and can be the confidential sounding board that is difficult to find.
My integrative approach means I can work with your primary physician, psychiatrist, or other health professionals upon request. Modalities I often use are DBT, CBT, and mindfulness therapy. My approach is nurturing but also direct. I believe accountability is one of the greatest tools therapy can offer a person!
I have been featured on APH and Brain Matters radio for different mental health/relationship segments and can be heard on ihealthservices.org. Our agency has also been featured by Birmingham Now. I have previously been a clinical director of two companies that treat individuals with substance issues.
