The Institute for Personal Growth (IPG) employs the largest number of certified sex therapists in New Jersey. In fact, we are official trainers for the organization that certifies sex therapists, the American Association for Sex Educators, Counselors, and Therapists (AASECT). Because many sexual problems affect relationships, not just individuals, our sex therapists also have extensive training in several forms of couples therapy. This means we are the ideal choice to handle relationship problems with a sexual component. Whether your problem is primarily a sexual issue or part of a larger marital problem, we are the right choice.
Sexual problems can be very hard to talk about. We realize that at IPG - and we make it easy. Most people don't realize that the sexual issues they have suffered in silence with for years can be helped, often with brief treatment lasting only three to six months.
We are trained to diagnose and treat all kinds of sexual problems. For example, we help with lack of sexual desire, inability to orgasm, and painful sex for women, problems with erection or rapid or delayed ejaculation for men, and low sexual frequency and lack of passion for couples.

Men's Group - Out of Control Sexual Behavior

IPG is the only organization in New Jersey to run a group for men who suffer from 'sex and porn addiction' - out of control sexual behavior. Run by trained certified sex therapists, the group is an alternative to Twelve Step groups. Group participants define their own sexual health program, and the group focuses on shame reduction and peer support for healthy behaviors. If your sexual behavior or pornography viewing is excessive or compulsive, this group can help you.

Transgender and Gender Non Conforming Youth

Institute for Personal Growth -Sex Therapy

IPG runs a counseling and peer support group for teens and young adults who are transgender, nonbinary, or gender non-conforming, roughly ages between 14 and 23. The group has been running for several years and promotes the exchange of information and mutual support by group members. We run a corresponding group for parents of transgender teens and young adults that is held at the same time. And BOTH ARE FREE! They meet in our Highland Park office.
