The Institute for Personal Growth (IPG) has been a kink-friendly psychotherapy provider, and we have worked with consensually nonmonogamous relationships, since our inception in 1983. Our team of around 30 psychotherapists across three NJ locations (Highland Park, Jersey City, and Freehold) has personal and professional experience with alternative sexual orientations and lifestyles. You may not even want to talk about your kink or CNM lifestyle, but you definitely want someone who is knowledgeable and affirming of who you are. And if your issues are in fact related to kink or CNM, we understand and can provide support and guidance.
We are national and international experts in kink and CNM. Our therapists have done research, written papers, and trained other therapists in how to work with clients in these communities. Our founder and former Clinical Director, Dr. Margaret Nichols, PhD, is a widely renowned and published expert on the subject (see her Publications page on our website!).

Mens Sexual Health: Out of Control Sexual Behavior
IPG is the only organization in New Jersey to run a group for men who suffer from 'sex and porn addiction' - out of control sexual behavior. Run by trained certified sex therapists, the group is an alternative to Twelve Step groups. Group participants define their own sexual health program, and the group focuses on shame reduction and peer support for healthy behaviors. If your sexual behavior or pornography viewing is excessive or compulsive, this group can help you.
