There's no getting around it...life is painful at times. But there is pain and there is suffering. They are not the same. I try to help you figure out how to take the suffering out of the equation and then deal with the pain.
Sometimes we just need to learn how to cope with pain (physical, emotional, psychic, spiritual) through growing our coping skills. Other times it takes reprocessing/healing of the past. Sometimes it just takes more insight or help to see our blindspots (which we all have).
I've been working as a therapist for 25yrs and I continue to love my work because I get better and better at helping people to reduce their suffering and grow from their experiences, while my clients inspire me with their progress.
