Hello, and welcome to Inner Wellness Counseling Group. We are a group of therapists with different backgrounds and specialties trained in treating children through adults with various mental health and/or substance abuse issues.
I specialize in working with trauma; big or small. Adverse experiences can stick with us and lead us to have negative thoughts about ourselves and the world. These thoughts and feelings do not go away on their own, and it's not just a matter of "getting over it."
I use an integrative approach with an emphasis on EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) therapy. It is an evidence based model proven highly effective for treating symptoms of trauma, anxiety, panic attacks, phobias, intense feelings, and mood changes.
