Hello! I am glad you are here. I am interested in you; Where you have been; What you have been through; Where you are going. I would like to walk with you on that journey. If you are interested in challenging your past perspective, or "that is just the way it is" thinking, then you have found your therapist. If you believe healing comes from addressing the physical, emotional, cognitive and spiritual then you have found the right therapist. If you are looking for active engagement, then I am here for you. If you want to learn about your psyche and new skills to cope with symptoms, call me! My lens is trauma and attachment based.
What do I bring while we journey into your pain, frustrations, disappointments, grief, isolation, and symptoms of trauma? A passion for healing and optimism. My therapeutic tools are Cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, Psycho education, Mindfulness, internal family systems, and EMDR. I apply EFIT and Gottman for couples.
I do understand how feelings of shame and fear of being vulnerable with a stranger keeps us from seeking therapy. Rest assured, we go at your pace. This is a relationship you are entering into. I have empathy and compassion for what you have experienced, or are now living with whether it is grief, abuse, trauma, mental health issues or chronic illness.
