Hello, I'm Brittanie. I specialize in work with couples and relationship distress. With empathy and understanding, I create a safe and nonjudgmental space where couples can explore their concerns, discover new perspectives, and develop effective strategies to overcome relationship hurdles. You may have experienced betrayal in significant relationships, such as infidelity, emotional abuse or neglect, leading to profound feelings of mistrust, insecurity, and fear of intimacy. You may struggle with attachment issues, finding it challenging to form healthy connections or maintain boundaries in relationships. You may just feel isolated or scared as you are moving forward after a major challenge or transition in life. I support adults to challenge negative beliefs, disruptive behaviors, explore behaviors that do not serve you and you want to change.

I fully believe that we all have the ability to be better, in many ways. We can learn to adjust , adapt, change, and be in control. We can learn to control our emotions, behaviors, actions, and thoughts. Awareness and mindfulness is attainable, we can learn this, and thus control the outcomes of our lives. We can't control the world around us, but we can control ourselves, and therefore, dictate how we live our lives, happy, and fulfilled. I earned a Bachelor and Master of Social Work degree from the University of Kentucky from years 1996-2001. I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in the State of Kentucky.
