Are you feeling dissatisfied with life? Feeling stuck, unhappy with relationships? I work with couples and individuals in all stages of life who have arrived at some sort of impasse. Often they have experienced some kind of loss. The loss of a job, loss of friends, or a divorce, empty nest issues, difficulty with relationships with adult kids. . I help clients work through a variety of issues: intimacy issues, depression, anxiety, addiction issues, unresolved trauma, panic attacks, and career dissatisfaction.
My approach with couples and individuals is warm, pragmatic and present centered. I focus on both understanding my client's history, helping clients sort through current feelings and priorities and find a way to build more effective communication and life skills. For couples workI am trained in both EFT and Gottman therapeutic approaches.
I am comfortable working with adult clients of all ages, and ethnicities. My orientation is psychonalytic and Jungian psychology, and I also am trained in DBT, EMDR and Art Therapy. I sometimes incorporate Art, Sandtray Therapy and dream interpretation with traditional counseling.

Groups
DBT Skills Group
I am not currently leading any DBT groups but I am a consultant at the DBT Center of Marin and we offer groups there for both adolescents and adults. For now the groups are all still online groups. Please check out The DBT Center of Marin website to find out about availability and times of groups. I do individual skills training, and Parent Skills training for parents whose kids are in DBT groups and who want to learn the skills also.
