I have a PHD and I am a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist in California. I have a range of experience as a therapist and I am passionate about helping individuals, families and couples work through some of the tough patches that can come along the way from time to time. I have been working with children, teens, and families for over two years, particularly with youth with severe mental and behavioral challenges. Prior to becoming a therapist, I worked for over a decade with families experiencing domestic violence. In each of these settings, I have seen the benefits Play Therapy techniques provide children and their families.

Dr. Savarese is the founder and Director of San Diego BrainWorks.
