I have traveled to over 45 countries to gain a better understanding of precisely why this is. I seek to find not only why individuals in other countries are happier, what qualities they possess, in addition to what their daily lifestyles encompass that encourage happiness levels.

I received my bachelor’s in psychology from Temple University and my master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Lock Haven University. I have experience working in residential drug and alcohol treatment, halfway houses, mobile therapy, and outpatient therapy. While I enjoy working with those of all ages, my passion is working with adolescents, and those struggling with a history of anxiety and addiction.

My Largest body of experiences comes from working with children. I have over 30 years of experience working with children and families. As a parent, you want what is best for your child, but it's not always easy to know what type of support he or she needs. My therapeutic play/counseling program is a good place to turn to when a child's problems seem overwhelming. I very comfortable working with the neurodivergent population.

If you have a child who is struggling with behavioral issues and you just can't understand what is going on, come see me. I see children as young as 3 years old. Using play as their voice I will help your child with those issues by teaching coping skills and gently guiding them to think before acting. At times I will provide you with tools to use at home so your child has consistent support. I have experience working with children on the spectrum, ADHD, ADD, ODD, Conduct Disorder, and DMDD. I also have experience working with both children and adults with anxiety, panic attacks, depression, and trauma.

Katie Brugger is a Licensed Professional Counselor with 14 years of experience working with children, adolescents, and families. Her professional experience includes school counseling in public and cyber schools, individual and group therapy for children and adolescents, early intervention services for special needs, early childhood education, and outpatient clinical therapy.
