Our Team
Hi there! I'm Edlíz and I love to work with young adults who are experiencing life transitions, anxiety, depression or other mental health illness, and self-esteem/interpersonal struggles. My goal is to create a strong therapeutic alliance and create opportunities in navigating these issues for self-understanding and validation because, let's be honest, adulting can be pretty hard sometimes. I help clients build skills to manage mental wellness and prevent distress in the future. I also support clients in finding purposefulness in their decisions to reinforce healthy identity development.

Healthy relationships (romantic, familial, the friendships you've built) are supposed to give something back. Yours leave you exhausted, isolated, and preparing for the next disappointment. You pour your whole self into relationships that do not reciprocate, then you doubt yourself, thinking the problem is you. So you keep trusting people that regularly let you down, telling yourself this time will be different. After enough one-sided relationships, you self-sabotage by avoidance, being overly clingy, or both. The connection you want most is the thing that wears you down. You're ready for that to change.

Welcome to the grief club. Membership is automatic. The perks are terrible.
No one signs up for this club. No one asks to lose someone they love, rewrite their future, or learn how to carry a pain they never expected. And yet, somehow, here we are.
If you’ve found yourself here, chances are the usual “it is what it is” isn’t cutting it anymore. Maybe you’ve tried distracting yourself, staying busy, or convincing yourself you’re “fine.” Those things might help you get through the day, but grief has a way of showing up when we least expect it. Usually at inconvenient times, because apparently grief has zero respect for your schedule.

You know your child better than anyone does. Lately, you've noticed more frustration, shutdowns, emotional outbursts, anxiety about school, pulling away from friends and family, or a loss of interest in the things they used to love. Sometimes the changes are easy to spot, and other times they're harder to put into words. You watch a little closer than you let on, wondering what your child needs and whether you're reading it right. It's painful to see your child struggle and feel unsure of what to do next. You don't want to ignore what could be a painful problem for your child... yet, what should you do?
