No matter where you are at in life, a young professional trying to grow in their career or a new parent who is exhausted, we can work together to find practical, meaningful change for you.
Sometimes life makes you feel like a duck, calm on the surface but paddling like crazy underwater. That's where I come in as someone who works with people who are navigating significant life stressors and transitions, like school, career shifts, managing responsibilities, adjusting to parenthood, or just trying to find balance. The goal is to get you out of a place where you feel stuck, anxious, or overwhelmed and take you to a place where you feel clear-headed, confident, and in control of your life. Together, we can find solutions that make you feel like you're moving forward with intention instead of just getting through the day.

I began my career working with individuals in recovery from substance use disorders, where I came to understand that substance use is often a response to deeper emotional pain rather than the core issue itself. Clients I work with today continue to navigate anxiety, difficult family dynamics, low self-esteem, past trauma, life transitions, and long-standing patterns that no longer serve them. I am especially passionate about supporting individuals/couples who have been impacted by narcissistic or emotionally complex relationships—experiences that can leave people feeling confused, self-doubting, or emotionally depleted.

At the heart of my work is the belief that our present struggles often echo old stories, and by exploring those deeper layers with care, we open the door to lasting change. In sessions, we will work to challenge unhelpful thoughts you may be having and build new ways of thinking. I believe that human beings can alter their lives by altering their attitudes of mind. These beliefs may come from our childhood, our experiences and may be what we have learned from others.

I have worked with parents trying to find their way, individuals working through some of the biggest transitions of their lives, and children learning to understand themselves and the world.
At times people find themselves wondering how they got where they are, thinking about now vs then. Experiences can lead to not feeling like yourself and being uncertain of where you're headed. Entering new phases of life can present uncharted struggles, overwhelming unease, and major disruptions to balance and peace, making the path forward feel confusing and unsure. Maybe the overwhelm has gotten the better of you and you are hoping to find a place to land that is safe, met with warmth and honesty, and is practical in nature. If so, you've landed in the right spot.

Parenting Therapists
What does therapy for parenting look like?
Therapists may work with parents individually, together, or include the whole family to find solutions for the problems a parent faces. Many parent-based therapies work on a parent’s relationship with their children, problem-solving within the family, and analysis of family dynamics. Therapy conducted remotely by video may be helpful in allowing a therapist to observe how families interact in their own homes.

When should a parent seek therapy?
When behavioral problems begin to disrupt the healthy functioning of a family, it may be a good time to look into therapy. If parents find that children are acting out in school, have started using drugs or alcohol, have developed eating disorders, or other similar red flags, a therapist may be able to help.

How long does therapy take for parenting problems?
Depending on the severity of a family’s challenges and the type of treatment utilized, therapy for parenting can last from weeks to months. Cognitive behavioral therapy is a pragmatic therapy type that can be brief, most often ranging from between 5 and 20 sessions. Structural family therapy, which inspects family dynamics, often takes several months. Parent-child interaction therapy is typically shorter-term, lasting between 10 and 20 sessions. For any therapy, the duration will depend on the progress made and results realized.

Can therapy help parents dealing with burnout or stress?
Parenting is difficult. Parents may dismiss or conceal feelings of exhaustion, overwhelm, or escape ideation—imagining withdrawing from their parental obligations altogether. but left unattended, these feelings can have negative effects on the whole family. A therapist can help parents work on the skills they might need to better cope with the burdens of parenting and help them be the best parents they can be.
