Most people who reach out to me aren't in a crisis — they're just tired of feeling stuck. Maybe anxiety has been a background hum for so long it's started to feel normal. Maybe you had a baby and something shifted that you can't quite name. Maybe ADHD has you perpetually one step behind, or there's trauma you've been quietly working around for years. Whatever brought you here, you don't need to have it figured out before we start. I've been doing this for 17 years, and that's always been true: you can show up exactly as you are.

My ideal client is a high-functioning woman who has spent years managing everything on her own — but internally feels exhausted, anxious, or like something unresolved is quietly running the show. She's self-aware and has likely tried to think her way through it. What she hasn't been able to do is change the patterns — the over-responsibility, the emotional shutdown, the difficulty asking for what she needs. She's ready to stop coping and start actually healing.

I’m glad you're here. Whether you're battling anxiety, feeling weighed down by depression, struggling to navigate relationship issues, or simply overwhelmed, you don't have to have everything figured out before reclaiming your life. My goal is to create a space where you can be your authentic self, talk openly about your unique experiences, and feel genuinely seen and heard. My own experiences as a non-binary, gay, and neurodivergent person have taught me how powerful it can be to have someone listen without assumptions, meet you without judgment, and make space for the parts of your story that haven't always felt safe to share.

It’s an honor to walk alongside my clients as they navigate the path toward healing, self-discovery, and meaningful change. I believe that therapy should be more than just a conversation—it should be a transformative experience, tailored to your unique needs and designed to foster lasting growth, resilience, and fulfillment. Richard Schwartz, the founder of Internal Family Systems (IFS), once said, “All parts are welcome.” My mission is to create a space where you can embrace every aspect of yourself—without fear or judgment—while also feeling empowered to grow into the version of yourself you strive to be.

Each season of life comes with it's own challenges. Childhood can come with adjustments to change, family stress, school demands, and scary or unexpected events. Many new parents experience postpartum depression or postpartum anxiety and many seasoned parents need support in managing their own or their children's mental health. College and young adulthood often brings it's own challenges and growing into the happy, confident, and independent person, parent, and student is easier with support. It is important to find the right therapist for you, no mater life's season.

Admitting we need help can be one of the hardest first steps. It takes courage to say, “I can’t do this alone,” and even more to trust someone with your story. My goal is to make that step feel less overwhelming by creating a space that feels safe, welcoming, and centered on your unique journey. Therapy is most effective when you feel genuinely heard and valued, when there’s room to explore both the pain and the possibility, and when progress unfolds through curiosity, compassion, and collaboration instead of pressure or judgment. I provide evidence-based support to individuals and families using a person-centered approach.

Taking the first step toward counseling can be daunting and requires great courage. Many people fear judgment, the uncertainty of the process, or the vulnerability that comes with opening up. Breaking the stigma surrounding mental health can feel overwhelming, but seeking support is a powerful step toward healing, growth, and self-awareness. Mental health is a lifelong journey, and building emotional resilience is essential at every stage of life. My goal is to create a safe, supportive space where clients feel empowered to explore their thoughts and emotions without fear.

How do you encourage a woman to go to therapy?
It’s helpful to express concern and love for the person while framing therapy as a tool for improving their life. Offering specific examples of how an individual may be suffering, and what effects it has on them, should be done with compassion and with empathy. It may be useful to devise a game plan—breaking the process down into parts, such as finding a therapist, making appointments, and looking into insurance coverage.

How can women prepare for therapy?
Women can prepare for therapy by being willing to talk about their past experiences and their private thoughts. Before a session, an individual may want to reflect on how they’ve felt since the last session and what’s happened in their lives. Between sessions, it can be useful to write down notes about their reaction to a given event or how they felt at a particular time.

How long does therapy for women’s issues often last?
As with any type of therapy, sessions depend on the individual and the challenges they face. Therapy types like Cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), Prolonged exposure therapy (PET), and Eye movement desensitization and reprocessing (EMDR) can be brief, most often ranging from between 5 and 20 sessions. In some cases, such as for women with eating disorders, residential treatment may be recommended for an individual who is judged to be at high risk of self-harm. For any therapy, the duration will depend on the progress made and results realized.

How can women overcome stigma around specific challenges in order to seek therapy?
Women dealing with domestic abuse, sexual assault, eating disorders, and any other number of troubles may feel a stigma around seeking help. It’s important to remember that these issues are not uncommon and there is no shame in getting help for them. Therapy is confidential, and women can talk about their experiences without fear of judgment. Seeking therapy can be a courageous and liberating act, and an important step toward healing and recovery.
