You don’t have to have it all figured out to begin. Whether you’re feeling stuck, overwhelmed, disconnected or caught in patterns that no longer work for you, therapy can be a place to pause, breathe, and reset. I work with individuals navigating trauma, addiction, anxiety, depression, and a range of other mental health concerns and I deeply respect the courage it takes to reach out.

You look like you're holding it all together, but inside, it is exhausting. Your mind won't slow down, you second-guess yourself or feel stuck in patterns you can't break. Maybe anxiety, OCD, depression, or relationship stress is taking a toll. We work together to help understand what's happening beneath the surface and give you practical tools to create real change. I provide a supportive, empathetic environment while also challenging you when needed so we can help you feel more in control, more connected, and more like yourself again or a new, better version of yourself.

I believe that everyone deserves relief from emotional distress so that they can better manage their lives, participate in their community, and achieve their hopes and dreams. I also believe that people are much more than their diagnoses; both our minds and our bodies send us information to help us heal. I enjoy working with clients on whole person care by integrating physical health (diet, sleep, exercise) with a variety of therapeutic styles in order to meet a client where they are at in their journey of healing.

I work with adults 18 years and older, who experience anxiety, depression, trauma, domestic violence, low self-esteem, grief and relationship issues.
If you're feeling overwhelmed, stuck, anxious or carrying pain from trauma or relationships, you're not alone, and you don't have to navigate it alone. My approach to client care is strengths and evidence based, client-centered, trauma-informed and individualized. I have significant training in DBT & also utilize CBT, MI and ACT approaches to client care. I am comfortable integrating faith into the therapeutic process & have been providing therapy services for over 12 years. I took a break to raise a family and so I don't just offer professional skills, I offer "real life" wisdom. You have permission to be fully vulnerable.

I believe meaningful change begins when you feel truly seen, accepted, and safe enough to share what you’re going through. My approach is warm, empathetic, and non-judgmental. I aim to create a space where you can talk openly about what’s been weighing on you—without pressure to have the “right” words or quick answers.

One of the hardest things is feeling like we have hurt or disappointed those most important to us. It’s a struggle every day to keep relationships and even friendships going smoothly. We often disappoint ourselves, and life hasn’t always been what we hoped it would be. Maybe things look good on the surface but inside we feel like everyone else has it figured out while we barely keep it together. It doesn’t have to feel like this, and I can help you feel better through therapy. While in therapy with me you will definitely laugh, you might cry, and you will see changes in your life that you’ve wanted for a long time.

There are experiences in life that can make us feel fractured, alone, or just disconnected from ourselves. I believe we are so much more than just what happens to us and we have the ability to thrive, instead of just survive.

Self Esteem Therapists
When should a person seek therapy for low self-esteem?
When self-esteem problems begin to disrupt the healthy daily functioning of an individual, it may be a good time to look into therapy. If a person finds that they are not engaging with friends for fear of being judged, not completing work assignments because they don’t think they’re capable, or not finding romantic love because they don’t feel they’re worthy of it, a therapist may be able to help.

What are the signs of low self-esteem?
Low self-esteem is a common issue that can affect a person's mental and emotional well-being. Some common signs of low self-esteem include negative self-talk, perfectionism, social anxiety, difficulty making decisions, an inability to set boundaries, people-pleasing, and others. A lack of belief in oneself or one’s abilities and a feeling of not being worthy or deserving underlie most of these characteristics.

What causes low self-esteem?
Feelings of low self-worth can begin in childhood or adulthood. Being raised by a highly critical parent or growing up feeling constant disapproval can stay with a person well into adulthood. Specific issues in adulthood may also be a cause of low self-esteem. An unhappy relationship, a dysfunctional work or school experience can impact a person’s feelings of self-worth.

How can therapy improve self-esteem?
Therapists can help identify negative thought patterns that keep the client stuck in a loop of destructive self-talk and develop coping skills to change the voice in their head. A therapist can help with goal-setting, so that clients are better able to stay on task and build confidence from successfully completing work they’re proud of. Coaching a client on how to better communicate can improve relationships. These skills can result in someone with low self-esteem feeling empowered and living with less fear.
