I began my journey as a therapist while I was Active Duty military and I saw firsthand how trauma was so prominent whether from childhood and/or combat related. With the different treatment options available, I feel that I have an opportunity to help in the healing journey for anyone seeking therapy. I have been licensed for about 7 years and have experience treating individuals who have experienced trauma through work, childhood, or adulthood. I offer daytime availability to individuals who may work evenings, professionals, caregivers, or students.

You used to talk for hours. Now every conversation ends in a fight or silence. You walk on eggshells in your own home and skip work after another night of not sleeping in your cold bed. The kids feel it. Your friends are taking sides. You may spend time Googling whether marriages like this come back, replaying what was said, what was meant, and what should have been said. You wonder how two people who used to be recognizably good together became roommates who can't talk. You are not alone, and you are not crazy. But you cannot keep living this way. It’s time to do something positive to resolve the distance between you.

My ideal client is carrying wounds that have quietly shaped how they experience their body, intimacy, and relationships. They may have never spoken these things out loud. They often feel broken, disconnected, or like something is "wrong" with them.
They want to feel safe in their own skin. Their goal isn't just symptom relief, it's a deeper reconnection to themselves..

My ideal clients are individuals, couples, families, and teens who are ready to challenge themselves. You might be untangling patterns in your relationships, navigating family loyalty alongside your own identity, or working towards a partnership that genuinely thrives. You're willing to sit with hard questions, because you know meaningful change requires both honesty and courage. My work centers on two connected areas: multigenerational family dynamics and couples therapy. I'm drawn to the way patterns and unspoken rules travel through families and the relief that comes when clients finally see those dynamics clearly.

I enjoy working with clients who come to me in crisis with some awareness that their existing coping resources and skills have been overwhelmed to the point they need some help to grow through the situation. Though it typically begins concretely with stress and conflict management, this work often deepens into fruitful reexamination of personal values, family dynamics, problematic relationship patterns, and existential or spiritual themes. I see individual problems as often having been forged in the crucible of one's family of origin, which has often severely limited one's ability to respond well to all of life's demands.

Men's Issues Therapists
Is therapy for men different than it is for women?
Therapeutic treatments and types are the same for men as they are for women, with the same protocols followed and the same strategies employed. Discussing one’s feelings and emotions is an integral part of most therapies, and some men find doing so more challenging. Therapists can help clients through the process; some specialize in treating men for this reason.
How do you encourage a man to go to therapy?
It’s helpful to express your concern and love for the person while framing therapy as a tool for improving their life. Offering specific examples of how an individual’s behavior affected either himself or others should be done with compassion and with empathy. It may be useful to devise a game plan—breaking the process down into parts, such as finding a therapist, making appointments, and looking into insurance coverage.
How can men prepare for therapy?
Men can prepare for therapy by approaching the process with an open mind, being willing to talk about their challenges, and giving treatment the time to work. Before a session, an individual may want to reflect on how they’ve felt since the last session and what’s happened in their lives. It can be useful for men who struggle to recall their emotional states to write down notes between sessions about their response to a given event or how they were feeling at a particular time.
What should men know about the process of therapy?
One of the most common reasons men don’t seek therapy is the notion that there’s something wrong with them if they do. Men should know that just because they’re seeking therapy doesn’t mean they’re mentally ill or damaged in some way. In the same way people work on their bodies through exercise or a craft through practice, therapy can be a way to improve the mental and emotional skills needed to be productive and effective partners, employees, and people in all realms of life.
