I have been a therapist for 30 years and have had the opportunity of working at some amazing places and with all ages. My goals in working with my clients is to be someone that can walk them through issues they are facing and clear out struggles from their past that are impacting their day to day functioning and happiness. I am very open and real and try to make everyone I work with feel understood and heard. I work to allow them to know me as another human who can give them guidance and support and am truly someone who cares about their well being. Ages 10-100, I can guide them forward.

My client is usually an adult looking for more out of life and willing to explore and bring change to themselves.
I help you define where you are, gather information about what you're experiencing, and open the door to freedom and empowerment. I’ll join you, providing guard rails where it feels the scariest to move forward. We’ll learn how to value your emotions and maybe even explore where you’ve learned the messaging that might be blocking what you want for your life.

As a Mental Health Educational Consultant, my ideal clients are the "first responders of the heart" - churches and community agencies. Those that find themselves navigating the complex intersections of deep compassion and clinical "stuckness." I don't come in to replace missions, but to fortify them. I provide the clinical scaffolding that allows organizations to remain in a place of hope without collapsing under the pressure of the need. I help build safety nets by helping create clear 'Red Flag' protocols and referral pathways. By partnering with me, you move from being reactive to crisis to being proactive in healing.

Autism is not a medical condition needing "treatment." Rather, it is an opportunity to work intensively on personal growth starting with the child's diagnosis, and then extending to the family, the professionals, schools, communities and finally the governments.

My hope is that therapy would be a place to realize and regain the joy of life and find new goodness and sweetness in the midst of your challenges.
I'm passionate about coming alongside those with trauma both little t and big T. The folks whom connect most with my style are children, families and women. Overall I place a high value on treatment of the whole person; physical, mental, social and spiritual, hence "holistic" counseling. I would love to work in conjunction with your health provider team including, teachers, school counselors, psychiatrist or family doctor.

Life is already hard, let us sprinkle a little bit of humor into your everyday life (appropriate humor).
Let's ignite your motive to unlock your potential! Catchy slogan huh? Okay but seriously, do you ever say “this is just me” or “this is just how I act”? Fun fact, there is a “motive” behind every action and behavior that you do. Our motives are a reflection of what we’ve been through, what we are going through, or sometimes what we fear for our future. All reasons to seek therapy to better understand yourself. Your first assignment is to sit in silence and ask yourself two questions: Why do I think I act/behave the way that I do? Am I ready to unlock the potential reasons why? Hint- reflect on your childhood.

Many of the folks I work with have found safety in thinking their way through emotions, pulling away when life feels too intense, or searching for answers outside of themselves.
My approach is relational and trauma-informed, incorporating Internal Family Systems, somatic experiencing, EMDR, and trauma narrative therapy. These frameworks help us understand how past experiences continue to live in the body and nervous system, not as problems to fix, but as responses that once made sense.

Life Coaching Therapists
What can I expect from life coaching?
Clients and coaches will typically start by identifying the problem area(s) that the client hopes to address—then, the coach will help the client brainstorm potential solutions and explore concrete techniques to help the client attain their goals. Coaching is typically short-term and focused on finding solutions in the here and now, rather than exploring a client’s past. In addition to strategies aimed at the client’s specific concerns, coaches may encourage general stress management techniques such as meditation.

Can a life coach help treat anxiety?
Because the majority of life coaches are not licensed clinicians, they are not qualified to diagnose or treat anxiety. Anyone struggling with anxiety or another mental health condition should seek help from a licensed mental health practitioner. However, some coaching clients who struggle with subclinical anxiety report that working with their coach on other problems—such as career dissatisfaction or unhealthy habits—has a positive effect on their anxiety.

Can life coaching be done online?
Yes. While life coaching often happens in person, many coaches conduct sessions over the phone or via online platforms such as Zoom or Skype. Because life coaches are not subject to local licensing regulations in the same way that therapists are, they are able to see clients who live in other locations.

How long does life coaching last?
Life coaching tends to be a shorter-term process than therapy, though it does not always unfold over a specific period of time and is instead based on the coach’s or the client’s preferences. Coaching often takes place over three to 12 months but may be shorter or longer if necessary.
