While I specialize in parenting techniques for young children, I also enjoy working with children, teens, and adults who feel "stuck," or are having difficulty managing family and social conflicts. I believe the therapeutic relationship is a powerful agent of change, and aim to provide a warm, safe, and casual space for clients to express themselves. I also encourage creative outlets for processing emotional issues, which might include drawing, painting or any other evidenced-based expressive techniques that relieve distress.

I want to work with someone who needs to hear they are loved, important, and worth while. Helping people that are faced with making difficult decisions in their life, someone who maybe has never had to make a decision quite as important or as meaningful as the one that they ask me to help them with. Hard times fall on all of us and if you need someone to talk to as you start on your hero's journey, a journey to find your peace.

There is no such thing as an ideal client. That is too boring. The way I do therapy is relaxed. I am not your average therapist, and I am not going to be like, "How does that make you feel?" but I am going to say, "What up! How are we doing today?" I never stop learning, and when you have me as a therapist, you will see that you will fall back in love with learning. Overall, I am just honored you allowed me to help you!

Evenings available. Often, my clients come to me feeling heavy, exhausted, and paralyzed by their anxiety. They feel burdened by their past and are unable to fully enjoy their present. They feel alone and disconnected from others and even themselves. This leads to trouble with relationships, understanding and communicating their emotions, and deep wounds of anxiety and depression. If you are looking to break the shackles of your past, unburden yourself from your pain, and learn to live a fuller, happier life you are in the right place. Together, we can work to better understand and manage the challenges that you are facing.

ADHD Therapists
Some children and adults with ADHD find it difficult to concentrate on tasks at school or work and may daydream frequently. Children with ADHD may become disruptive, defiant, or have trouble getting along with parents, peers, or teachers. Children who struggle with hyperactivity and impulsivity, in particular, often have behavioral challenges that can be difficult for adults to manage. Adults, on the other hand, may be more likely to report feeling restless or fidgety; if they struggle with impulsivity, they may make rash decisions that adversely affect their life. For both children and adults, executive functioning (planning, emotional regulation, and decision-making) is often affected as well. Many children and adults display either hyperactive or inattentive symptoms of ADHD, but it’s also possible for both sets of symptoms to exist together, in what is typically called combined type ADHD.

If you're looking for a New Albany ADHD therapist, these professionals provide ADHD therapy and counseling in New Albany.
