About
My approach to therapy starts with providing you a welcoming, safe and supportive atmosphere where you will have the opportunity to talk about your concerns. I am compassionate and caring, and I invite my clients to see the best in themselves and in others. I use an integrative approach drawing upon my training in family systems and cognitive/behavioral therapies, selecting what will be most helpful for each individual, couple or family. I see my role to be that of supporter, teacher, coach, guide, listening ear, and sounding board.
Many clients come with relationship, family and/or work and career issues and express feelings of depression, anxiety or "stuckness" about where they are in their lives. I work collaboratively with my clients, helping them to sort out confusing and overwhelming feelings.
I will help you develop your capacity to stay connected to those who matter to you while maintaining your own autonomy through major life transitions. Learn ways to reduce anxiety and reactivity, become aware of the role you play in your problematic interactions, and become more successful at resolving conflicts.
