If you are searching for a safe and supportive space where you can explore and process painful experiences, change damaging behaviors, and create new ways of acting and relating, then look no further. Do you experience any of the following: grief, sadness, or shame that just won’t go away; struggle with an inability to stop binge shopping, eating, drinking, gambling, gaming or using social media; have crippling fears and “what if” thoughts that prevent you from doing the things you really want to do; or get triggered and leap into fight, flight, freeze or shut down for no clear reason?

I use a combination of EMDR, IFS, CBT and AEDP (attachment & relational therapy) to help you heal.
I specialize in helping survivors of trauma find their voice and heal. My clients have had to process overwhelming experiences alone for most of their lives, and I am honored to help hold their painful experiences with attunement and care. If you are struggling with issues related to anxiety, depression, trauma/ptsd, or major life changes, you don't have to hold it alone anymore. I especially love working with adult survivors of childhood sexual abuse. I find it an honor to witness your resilience and guide you as you reconnect with all of the parts of yourself you’ve had to push away.

I have been trained and have been successfully utilizing EMDR, Trauma Focused-CBT, & Internal Family Systems Informed Approach to help my clients.
Do you find yourself caught in cycles of anxiety, overwhelm, or emotional shutdown- as if the past is still playing out in the present? Does it feel difficult to be fully present in your own life right now? Are stressful situations becoming harder to manage, leaving you feeling exhausted, disconnected or stuck? Maybe you are ready to stop overthinking, to feel safe in your relationships, to be less reactive and more engaged— but unsure how to begin. If any of this resonates, you’re not alone. Trauma can shape how we relate to ourselves, others, and the world. But healing is possible — and it doesn't have to be done alone.

As Henri Matisse once said– Creativity takes courage. Taking that first step towards healing can be scary, but I'm here to help! I work with a wide age range of clients, including children (8+), adolescents, and adults who are seeking therapy services through the creative process of Art Therapy, as well as traditional psychotherapy. I am passionate about working with Anxiety, Depression, Life Changes, Religious Trauma, and life skills. Counseling can be intimidating, but I want to foster a safe, compassionate, and empathetic place where you can talk about the things you don’t know how to talk about. As a therapist, I seek to create a space for your true self to shine through as we work together to confront the challenges, insecurities, and past traumas you carry, and to ultimately find healing. At this stage as you consider therapy and seek to find the right fit, I want to encourage you by simply saying that you are enough. You do not have to be more than who you are. And who you are is worthy of love, of care, and of mental and emotional health.

I don't believes that therapy is one-size-fits all so I practice from multiple frameworks including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, and Internal Family Systems.
I work with people who find themselves feeling stuck in depression and overwhelmed by anxiety and who are ready to live differently. I believe that laughter is good medicine and work best with people who are open to rediscovering reasons to laugh and smile again. I value authenticity.

Do you feel the stress of your daily life and need help managing? Do you struggle with trauma and want to try EMDR to improve your mindset? Life gets really tough sometimes. Relationships can get hard and become difficult to manage. Figuring out your next move can be challenging, and you may be at a complete lost. You may be doubting yourself. Sometimes, people struggle because they don’t have support and feel alone. Sometimes, they never learned how to identify their own emotions and communicate them in a healthy or productive way. Sometimes, people struggle because they have unhealthy coping patterns, but I can help!

Internal Family Systems (IFS) Therapists
What is Internal Family Systems therapy?
Internal Family Systems (IFS) is a type of talk therapy that focuses on sub-personalities, or “families,” within a person, which may be made up of wounded parts and unpleasant emotions like anger and shame. These sub-personalities can come into conflict with each other and with an individual’s core Self, leaving the person feeling detached from positive traits such as the “8 C’s” of confidence, calmness, creativity, clarity, curiosity, courage, compassion, and connectedness. By healing a patient’s wounded parts, a therapist aims to restore balance and bring on positive change.

How does Internal Family Systems therapy work?
An IFS therapist will work with a patient to identify their particular sub-personalities, recognize the emotions powering them, and release them. By doing so, the patient should become more able to address any underlying problems their sub-personalities may have been trying to protect them from. Ultimately, a patient discovers ways to manage internal and external conflicts on their own, through techniques such as relaxation exercises, journaling, and making charts depicting the relationships between their core Self and their distinct parts.

Does Internal Family Systems therapy work?
IFS therapy has been shown to help people address conditions such as depression, anxiety, panic, fears and phobias, trauma, and substance use disorders. Some research has also found that it can help individuals deal with symptoms of physical health conditions like rheumatoid arthritis, such as pain, everyday functioning, depressive feelings, and low self-compassion. There are some conditions for which IFS treatment, specifically discussions of one’s “parts,” may be less appropriate, such as schizophrenia or other states that involve psychosis or paranoia.

How long does Internal Family Systems therapy take?
As with most forms of talk therapy, there is no set duration or end point for IFS therapy. After becoming comfortable with a therapist and the core concepts of IFS, some patients quickly make progress. While experiences vary, most will find that it is a relatively longer-term therapy, involving months and sometimes years of sessions.
