I am an Independently Licensed Clinical Social Worker with over 20 years of experience in the mental health field providing direct, clinical services to individuals, families and couples. In my experience, I have found that people are reluctant to engage in therapy out of fear of change, avoidance of emotional pain and the uncertainty of how to heal and evolve. Therapy should be about finding opportunities for positive change and growth in the areas of your life which you wish to improve upon. It is my hope that when any client walks into my office, they feel comfortable, relaxed and have the space to be vulnerable.

I walk alongside folks navigating schizophrenia, bipolar, schizoaffective, psychosis, identity exploration, and spiritual awakening, meeting them where they are, and moving with them toward something lighter and more free.
What makes my work distinct is my holistic approach to healing. I use somatic therapy, IFS, ACT, attachment therapy, spiritually-integrated psychotherapy, and Talking With Voices. These approaches meet you at every layer: your emotional, mental, physical and spiritual body. Together, they create embodied healing that goes where talk therapy often can’t.

Do you keep revealing to yourself and your loved ones that you are not the person you want to be? Have you kept yourself so hidden from others that now you have difficulty knowing who you are or what you want? Most likely, you have adapted over the years to challenges, maybe traumas, which have helped you survive. Except, those adaptations aren't serving you anymore, and they are actually making things worse. Perhaps you're afraid it's too late, that too much damage has been done. You believe the REAL YOU is hidden somewhere, you just need support finding yourself and living into your highest potential.

I work with complex and serious clinical presentations: suicidal thoughts, self-harm, borderline personality, psychosis (delusions/hallucinations), bipolar disorder, and complex trauma.
If other therapists have been intimidated or stumped by what you bring to the therapy room, let's talk. I work with clients who have spent years misdiagnosed or struggled with ineffective treatment options. I combine evidence-based treatment with radical transparency and close monitoring of symptoms to make sure you get what you need out of treatment.

As an insight-oriented therapist, I help clients who feel stuck to gain a deeper understanding of their patterns and values - which becomes the pathway for growth and change. I specialize in working with high achieving adults who struggle with intense inner critics, depression, anxiety, and long-term impacts of childhood complex trauma. Often, I see clients who have tried other modes of therapy but still feel stuck in a cycle of perfectionist expectations, shame, defensiveness, and emotional shutdown. Instead of fighting against and shaming yourself, I help you approach yourself and your patterns with curiosity and compassion.

Psychosis Therapists
What’s the most effective treatment for psychosis?
The most effective treatment for psychosis is coordinated specialty care. In this model, a team of professionals works with a patient to address all aspects of the underlying disorder. This approach incorporates individual or group therapy, employment and education support, family support and education, medication management (which often involves low doses of antipsychotics), and case management to facilitate problem-solving as needed.

When should people seek treatment for psychosis?
People should seek immediate treatment at the earliest indication of psychosis. Symptoms include delusions, hallucinations, disorganized or blocked speech, and agitated body movements. Early signs that a person may be developing a disorder that will lead to psychosis include suspiciousness of others, memory problems and distractibility, an inability to think clearly, rapid or nonsensical speech, withdrawal from friends or family, aggression toward others, and sensitivity to bright lights or noises.

What if psychosis is left untreated?
Without treatment, psychosis can have significant repercussions, including injuries, job loss, homelessness, financial or legal trouble, ruptured relationships, and suffering for the person and their family. While early treatment for psychosis often yields the best results, there is no point past which it becomes useless to seek treatment. At any point, treatment can make a difference.

How do I get someone else to seek treatment for psychosis?
It’s extremely difficult to watch a loved one suffer from hallucinations, delusions, and other elements of psychosis—sometimes exacerbated by their fears of treatment. Have a conversation with them in a quiet space and maintain a calm, supportive tone. Share your concerns about behaviors you’ve observed, suggest treatment, and explain the potential benefits. Listen carefully to their responses. The person may not be ready after one conversation, but with time, they may come around.
