I want to start out by saying that I'm looking forward to meeting you and working on the issues and goals that brought you into my office. I am extremely passionate about what I do and love my job! It is my belief that everyone has significant strengths and abilities to heal and get to the place in life where they want to be, but sometimes you just need a little bit of help. I use a strengths-based approach and also help clients look into where their issues are coming from instead of just trying to put a Band-Aid on the problem.

Not all human experiences can be expressed verbally, so I am trained in both traditional talk therapy and offer art therapy as well.
Taking New Clients!
My goal as a therapist is to help you better understand yourself and move through what’s been holding you back. I take a collaborative, transparent approach and aim to create a space that feels genuine and supportive. Sessions are meant to feel like real conversations—I’m open to dark humor, curious about your interests, and enjoy helping you understand how your brain works. The most rewarding part of my work is being there for those “aha” moments, when things click and a clearer path to healing comes into focus.

Choose from talk therapy, art therapy, or Accelerated Resolution Therapy.
Feeling stuck and having trouble engaging in what really matters to you? Your brain has done an excellent job keeping you safe, but old strategies may no longer meet your needs as well as those developed with intention. Issues like family of origin discord, medical illnesses, unidentified neurodivergence, and mismatched work environments can all add up to impact our relationship with ourselves and others. I am a PDA, EDS, ARFID, POTS, and MCAS informed clinician. I especially love working with high achieving adults who have issues with perfectionism, burnout, dissociation, procrastination and later in life neurocomplex diagnoses.

How does art therapy work?
The process of making art allows people to express themselves. Art-making can take many forms, such as painting, collage, or sculpting. The therapist asks questions that the work elicits, such as how the person felt while creating their piece, or if any memories surfaced that they can discuss. The therapist will then work with the patient to process their experience, understand themselves better, and work toward change.
Does art therapy help with trauma?
Art therapy can be a valuable treatment option for those suffering from trauma. Traumatic experiences such as combat, rape, or childhood abuse can be so painful that articulating them can be too scary or painful; creating art allows people to express themselves without words, and tell their story in a different way. The physical nature of creating art can also help people feel rooted in the body, which may benefit those who feel disconnected from their body in the aftermath of trauma.
How long does art therapy last?
The duration of art therapy varies, but a common length for treatment is 10 to 15 weekly sessions. Some people may see improvement in just a few weeks, while others may choose to remain in therapy longer term. Patients should periodically discuss their goals with their therapist to make sure the two are aligned on process and progress.
What are the limitations of art therapy?
Art therapy is helpful for many people, but a limitation is that it doesn’t have as robust an evidence base as other forms of therapy, such as cognitive behavioral therapy or acceptance and commitment therapy. The evidence on art therapy is mixed; some research demonstrates its benefits, while other research suggests that it has little impact on patients.
