People come to therapy with wounds. And it is in these wounds that the light shines through. In therapy, we learn we need not fear the places where one feels stuck, overwhelmed or enslaved. My approach to psychotherapy is holistic, integrating mind body and spirit, through a variety of modalities. My diverse background has deepened my understanding for those wrestling with existential, spiritual and religious belonging, life transitions, sexual orientation, relational challenges and childhood traumas.

I believe there is a light at the end of everyone's tunnel, some people just have longer tunnels. My role is to work with you and remind you of the tools that you have in your toolbox so you can find the light within your tunnel. I have over 10 years of experience working with teens, adolescents, couples, and families who have experienced a myriad of life stressors and disorders. From anxiety, depression, conduct disorder, ODD, relational and marriage issues, substance use, trauma, and phase of life issues, I am able to help. This journey we call life can feel like a lot, but nothing is impossible with the right tools.

Hi, I’m a therapist for every life stage. This isn’t about becoming a “new you.” It’s about finding yourself again, with more compassion and support than ever before. Together, we focus on: Reclaiming identity beyond motherhood, Making space for all emotional parts of you, Building a sustainable support system that actually supports you, Navigating postpartum transitions with more steadiness and self-trust. You don’t have to do this alone, or figure out which version of you is “supposed” to lead. We’ll get to know them all.

You want to feel seen and actually understood by the people in your life…and maybe even by yourself. You’ve tried to keep the peace, explain where you’re coming from, or make things work, but it still feels like no one really gets it. Communication breaks down, or differences in culture, values, or personality make it harder than it should be. You might feel stuck, shut down, or just exhausted from doing the emotional heavy lifting alone. You don’t have to carry that by yourself anymore.

Mental health is the most intimate non-physical relationship a person can have with another. I provide a safe, compassionate, culturally responsive, and collaborative environment. Additionally, sessions are realistic, non-judgmental yet; a direct environment for you to heal and feel good with your decisions. My clinical style of psychotherapy includes psychodynamic, humanistic, existential, and motivational interviewing. I believe that therapy is a guide to introduce you to yourself, by raising awareness and helping you have insight into understanding your inner conflicts, such as who are you really? Who would you like to become?

I love working with clients who are searching for growth and healing in their lives. Therapy offers a space to explore who you are and what you want - focusing on creating a life that is meaningful and full. It can also be a place to look back and understand past experiences or relationships. This insight not only draws you closer to yourself, but can make a significant impact on how you interact with, feel about, and understand your world.

Reaching out to a stranger for help isn't easy, and I want to acknowledge the courage it takes to even consider it. My approach is collaborative and culturally responsive, grounded in the belief that you are the expert on your own life. Together, we'll explore how systemic and external factors may be shaping your relationship with yourself and with others. From that deeper understanding, we'll work to shift how you treat yourself and how you show up in the world around you. You don't have to navigate this alone. I'm in-network with major plans through Headway, including Aetna, UnitedHealthcare, Oxford, Oscar, and Cigna.

You might be holding a lot—grief that hasn’t been named, questions about who you are and where you fit, relationships that feel more confusing than comforting. You’re craving clarity, language for what you’re feeling, and a space where you don’t have to perform. You’re not looking for quick fixes—you’re looking for something true. And you’re finally ready to ask the harder questions: Who am I, really? What do I need? What do I want?

If life feels like a lot right now, whether for you or someone you love, you don’t have to carry it alone. The reasons for seeking therapy can be numerous anxiety, depression, relationship struggles, etc. Sometimes it helps to have an expert hold space to just let you breathe. Maybe you need help finding clarity about what’s next or real tools for change. My hope is that you can have a place that helps you make sense of what’s happening, get expert feedback on a path forward, and help (for you or your loved one) start feeling better, steadier, and more hopeful again.

Gottman Method Therapists
How does the Gottman method work?
One of the core doctrines of the Gottman method is that negative emotions hurt relationships about five times more than positive emotions help them. Thus, couples require five times more positive interactions than negative interactions with each other. The therapist will guide clients on how to improve communication and understanding of each other to manage conflict and have their emotional needs met. The therapist will also advise couples on how to repair relations with each other when conflict arises, and therefore avoid lasting damage.

Is the Gottman method evidence-based?
Yes, this method is an evidence-based approach to couples therapy. The method is based on more than 40 years of research by Drs. John and Julie Gottman, the psychologists who developed the method. The Gottmans analyzed decades of data to draw conclusions about what types of interactions are likely to lead to specific results, and which interventions are most likely to lead to success. Studies have found that this approach leads to improvements in relationship satisfaction, intimacy, communication skills, and a lower rate of divorce.

How long does the Gottman method take?
The duration of treatment depends on the specific challenges clients face. Sessions are typically 60 to 90 minutes long, and an average course of treatment is around 10 sessions. In some cases, such as for couples dealing with a critical problem, the therapist will suggest an intensive course of treatment, with daily sessions over the first two to four days. Treatment is complete when the couple is satisfied and has met the goals they’ve set, and when the therapist believes they have the skills to continue on their own.

Is the Gottman method effective?
Through the Gottman method, couples can achieve changes that are real and sustainable. This treatment has been used for more than 40 years; the method is supported by empirical research, including randomized controlled trials that have demonstrated effectiveness in improving relationship outcomes for couples. Like any talk therapy, success or failure depends in large part on how committed the clients are to making positive changes and working toward results.
