Internal Family Systems (IFS) Therapists in Greenwood, IN
Counseling can be intimidating, but I want to foster a safe, compassionate, and empathetic place where you can talk about the things you don’t know how to talk about. As a therapist, I seek to create a space for your true self to shine through as we work together to confront the challenges, insecurities, and past traumas you carry, and to ultimately find healing. At this stage as you consider therapy and seek to find the right fit, I want to encourage you by simply saying that you are enough. You do not have to be more than who you are. And who you are is worthy of love, of care, and of mental and emotional health.

IFS and other types of therapy can be adapted to any age incorporating skills on how to meet yourself with more compassion.
You don’t have to keep being the version of you that everyone else is comfortable with. There’s nothing wrong with you for wanting something different; for craving more depth, more alignment, more truth in how you live your life. Sometimes this shift shows up in midlife, during perimenopause, or in seasons of identity change. Other times, it simply arrives as a quiet (or not-so-quiet) knowing: something needs to change. My clients typically are deeply reflective, intuitive and ready for change. They feel at a point that no longer allows them to be who they've been, but struggle in getting to who they truly are.

I often use Internal Family Systems therapy in my practice, but also like to be integrative and use pieces of CBT, DBT, and ACT as well.
I am passionate about assisting clients in solidifying their self-esteem and self-worth in an ever-changing culture of comparison. I have a special interest in working with highly sensitive women to understand the unique talents and traits they have, and how to utilize that to thrive.

Starting therapy can feel overwhelming when you're anxious, stuck, or caught in repeating patterns. You may find yourself overthinking, struggling to feel close in relationships, or carrying the weight of past experiences that still affect you today.
I work with teens, adults, and couples seeking relief from anxiety, depression, trauma, and relationship challenges. I provide a space where you feel truly heard while we identify the patterns keeping you stuck and develop practical ways to help you feel calmer and more connected.

I use a combination of ACT, EMDR, Brainspotting, IFS, CBT, and Narrative Therapies that have been shown to be effective for a wide range of challenges including: PTSD, OCD, Depression, Anxiety, and Addictions.
Everyone has a story with ups and downs, twists and turns, hopes and disappointments. Being alive is about doing what you care about, in service of your values, while accepting and thriving through your story’s plot twists. I enjoy helping people make sense of their story and to set free their free will, so as to live in the freedom of your chosen values. In addition to my Masters in Social Work, I also have a Master of Arts in Theology. While I will honor every client’s personal/spiritual beliefs as valid and their own, clients that wish to include their Catholic/Christian values will find the support they are looking for.

Navigating daily life when impacted by the effects of trauma can be difficult. What may feel like a minor situation or annoyance to others may trigger extreme reactions that are difficult to understand. Trauma reactions may arise at unexpected times, create unintended negative consequences, and leave you feeling confused, embarrassed, angry, and depressed. Working through the impacts of trauma can be overwhelming and intimidating. Finding a clinical psychologist with specialization in working with trauma is critical. For over 15 years, I have worked specifically with trauma related disorders.
