Feeling the weight of life’s stresses? I'm a mental health therapist who is passionate about creating a space where people feel genuinely seen, heard, and supported. I hold a Master’s degree in Social Work and have experience working with teens, adults, and families navigating anxiety, ADHD, trauma, relationship stress, and life transitions. Clients often tell me I bring a calm, grounded presence into sessions, and that I balance warmth with practical, easy-to-use strategies. I believe therapy should feel collaborative and human, not clinical or intimidating. My goal is for you to feel comfortable being you

We can often feel controlled by our emotions, struggling to think clearly, and simply reacting, rather than directing our own life path. It can feel like a tornado of thoughts quickly swirling, leaving us feeling tense and discouraged that life could look any different. We usually just want everything to slow down and feel more at peace. The goal is to provide you with the tools for this to happen so you can move forward with confidence to live a more positive and balanced life.

I strive to create a space where my clients feel truly seen, heard, and valued, exactly as you are. My approach is rooted in unconditional positive regard, compassion, curiosity and collaboration. I believe healing happens when we feel safe enough to explore our inner world and supported enough to challenge what no longer serves us.

People seek help when they’re overwhelmed by sadness, anxiety, or anger, or when challenging relationships cause feelings of isolation, frustration, or conflict. Life obstacles—such as major transitions or unmet goals—can feel insurmountable. Chronic stress or low energy can leave individuals feeling drained and stuck, making it difficult to find joy or satisfaction. But people are often stronger than they realize, and I’ve seen powerful transformations when hope is introduced. In a trusting, non-judgmental relationship, you’ll have the support to discover your true potential and live a life aligned with your deepest values.

We all want to be seen, heard, and loved but everywhere you search you feel more alone. You have experienced unbearable pain and long for freedom. You feel as though all hope has been lost. No matter how hard you try to turn your emotions off, they resurface. I have good news, even in all your heartache there is hope and you can find freedom even after facing difficulties. Even in your pain you can grow and learn. I want to join you in the heartache and help foster healthy relationships!

My mentor says, "Therapy is designed to make you healthy, not happy in the moment," and that has become my philosophy in practice. Therapy in it of itself is an act of bravery as it demands flexibility and challenges you to explore increasing self-awareness. It is my goal to provide support for acceptance of where you are and support towards where you want to be. My clients tend to be motivated, engaged, and active participants in a collaborative process to achieve their therapeutic goals.

Cognitive Processing (CPT) Therapists
How does cognitive processing therapy work?
A CPT therapist helps a client evaluate their thoughts about the trauma they experienced, focusing on maladaptive or self-blaming thoughts that can exacerbate symptoms of PTSD, anxiety, or depression. The therapist will work with a client to help them learn to challenge such thoughts and consider different perspectives. The therapist is also likely to ask a client to work on these techniques at home between meetings, such as writing an account of their trauma that can be read aloud during a future session.

What is cognitive processing therapy for PTSD?
Cognitive processing therapy (CPT) is a form of cognitive-behavioral therapy primarily used in the treatment of post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) to treat individuals who experienced abuse or violence, who survived natural disasters, who were first responders to such incidents, or who otherwise experienced trauma.

How long does cognitive processing therapy last?
CPT is a short-term therapy. Whether conducted one-on-one or in a group, a complete set of CPT sessions typically includes 12 weekly sessions, along with tasks for clients to complete at home, although this can vary depending on a client’s needs or a therapist’s particular treatment plan. Sessions typically last 60 or 90 minutes.

How effective is cognitive processing therapy?
A large body of research supports the use of CPT to treat people experiencing PTSD, finding it to be effective among different age groups, either in one-on-one therapy sessions or in a group therapy environment. Research suggests that although the initial sessions may be difficult, clients tend to begin to feel positive progress after the first few sessions, and that the benefits tend to last well after the therapy ends.
