I work with children, adolescents and adults who are open to exploring creative possibilities and increasing their self-awareness through engaging in the art making process. Common issues my clients are often experiencing include anger management, anxiety, attention issues, behavioral issues, depression, and emotional dysregulation. Many times these issues are related to trauma experiences and my clients want to address the trauma to be able to move forward in their life to be more productive, happier and developing lasting healthy and genuine relationships with other people.

For the past 12 years I have worked with adults, children, teens, couples, and families. Most of my work at this time revolves around individual adults.

I work with adults and the elderly who are not satisfied with what is happening in their lives and want to take a look at making some positive changes that will help them feel more calm, productive and healthy. Through the use of Cognitive behavioral interventions clients will learn how to take negative thoughts and emotions and turn them to more positive, healthy thoughts and emotions so that behaviors and outcomes become more positive and healthy. Common issues issues my clients are dealing with surround anxiety, depression, trauma, abuse and general unhappiness with emotional regulation.

Lotus of Life is a growing group private practice serving clients ages 5+. Our experience and areas of focus include: chronic health conditions, Grief/ Loss, Autism Spectrum Disorder, Anxiety, Depression, School/ Academic/ Career issues, Social/ Emotional challenges, Disordered Eating, LGBTQ+, Couples, Perinatal/ Infant loss and more. Therapy is provided virtually (Statewide) and in person in Westfield, Indiana by an Intern, Pre-licensed or fully licensed Therapist based on specific needs and availability.

THERAPY: I hear so much negativity in our field about work with people. But - I am amazed by some of the people that step foot into my office. I am in awe of their ability to smile through pain. I feel blessed that I get to share in their strong, resilience and desire to grow and change. I learn so much from them. I’m also frustrated with societies message that emotions like anger, resentfulness and jealousy are abnormal for us to feel. Sometimes they interfere with other parts of our life. These people that I encounter on a day-to-day basis are amazing, beautiful people. To all of them I say-

I have been have been an eating disorders specialist since 1995, treating people with Anorexia, Bulimia, and Binge eating. I welcome clients into a supportive, confidential, and safe environment, as I understand how difficult it can be to to take the first step toward treatment. Having recovered from an eating disorder long ago, my treatment style is compassionate, individualized, and client focused. I know how hard it can be to get well. I see clients with varying emotional issues, because these issues also underly eating disorders. People who meet with me have concerns to address in therapy such as anxiety, depression and OCD.
