Accepting Testing Clients : I provide an array of services but am currently ONLY accepting testing clients. I specialize in psychological testing (cognitive, ADHD, personality testing). I do NOT do neuropsychological, autism, or learning disability testing. I have experience working with children, adolescents, young adults, and adults who are struggling with a variety of issues from anxiety, depression, ADHD, other behavioral issues, mood dysregulation problems, major mental illness including psychotic disorders and personality disorders.

For the Highly Sensitive Person and Empath, the world can be an overwhelming place. Loud noises, large groups, and energetic overload are land mines we train ourselves to dance around. These individuals are “super sensing” - their central nervous systems absorb more sensory and energetic information than the average person. Years of taking in this level of input without awareness in our fast-paced world often leads to symptoms of anxiety, depression, and patterns of codependency. By increasing understanding and developing compassion for our internal experience, we can begin to live from a more authentic, empowered place.

My therapeutic focus is on helping clients identify and take responsibility for addressing issues ranging from minor life adjustment problems to serious mental health conditions based in brain chemistry deficits. Licensed as a clinical social worker since 1993, I have worked in the behavioral health field since 1979 in a variety of mental health and addictions-focused settings, including inpatient/hospital, intensive outpatient, outpatient, and educational programs. I also have an LMHC and an LCAC. I consider it an honor to work with clients courageous enough to ask for and accept help in meeting life's challenges.

I believe in order to be happy and healthy, we must nourish the whole person. As you begin your journey towards healing, I recognize the courage it takes to come in for help. My goal is to help you discover your true potential, and form healthy relationships along the way. I strongly believe that each individual holds the power to change and create the life they desire. I work from a psychodynamic and interactive perspective to assist individuals, couples, and families to become more conscious of how their past experiences have shaped current relationships. Many clients are experiencing difficulties, challenges, psychological pain, and life transitions and wish to move into a more joyful, meaningful, and peaceful life. We work together to discover patterns and connections that can help lead to greater self-understanding so that we can understand ourselves in relationship to others.
