If parts of a client are at odds, I may utilize IFS.
I provide therapy to clients as they choose to become healthier. I work with needs including life transitions into adulthood and retirement, Autism, self-esteem& shifting generational family dynamics. I enjoy the complexities that humans offer and the way that emotions can be uncovered through processing together in a safe space. My practice is all inclusive. My hope is for everyone who enters to feel safe and welcomed in my presence. Many of us have different styles of learning, therefore I always practice person-centered therapy with your needs in mind. We can walk, do crafts, meditate together and get creative with the work.

I’ve been a psychotherapist for over 30 years, and this work has never felt like “just a job.” It’s a privilege to sit with people as they try to understand what’s happening in their lives and why certain patterns keep showing up—especially in relationships.

If you're overwhelmed by stress, past trauma, or struggling to connect in your relationships—you have the capacity to heal. I work with adults processing childhood attachment wounds and parents facing postpartum challenges, parenting stress, or raising neurodivergent kids. I use Brainspotting, a mind-body approach that helps release what's held in your nervous system. My work is grounded in trauma-informed care, attachment theory, and nervous system regulation. For clients who value faith, I integrate Christian perspectives. You don't have to keep surviving. There's a path forward with more freedom, strength and resilience.

You’ve built a life that looks good on paper—but inside, something feels off. You may be successful in your career yet quietly battling anxiety, burnout, or relationship struggles that no one sees. You might love your partner but feel stuck in the same arguments, craving connection and wondering why it feels so hard. Or you may be carrying the weight of past trauma while trying to keep everything else running. You’re insightful and capable and have likely tried to manage this on your own. But you’re tired. You want more than coping—you want clarity, relief, and deeper fulfillment in your life and relationships.

I may use Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART) to treat a phobia or a painful memory of a traumatic event, while IFS or Parts work are powerful ways to treat depression, anxiety, grief, complex PTSD, relationship issues, and more.
It’s hard to experience peace when day-to-day interactions leave you suffering. Maybe you’re weighed down by daily stressors and not sure why everything feels so hard. Or your closest relationships are a struggle and you feel confused about how to make them better. Memories of old hurts replay in your mind and even though you want to move forward, you feel stuck in the past. You know that life has to be easier, better than this, but you feel lost.

Life feels full—but not always full of what matters most. You may be a couple caught in repeated tension or silence, wondering if things will ever feel easy again. You may be a new parent, exhausted and overwhelmed, missing who you used to be. Or perhaps you’re a high-functioning, high-achieving professional—calm on the outside, but anxious and overextended inside. Therapy can help you reconnect with yourself, your values, and your relationships.

Many people reach out to therapy feeling stuck in patterns they don’t fully understand. You may be struggling with food, addiction, trauma, relationship conflict, or overwhelming emotions that seem to repeat no matter how hard you try to change. Often these struggles are connected to deeper experiences—attachment wounds, painful memories, or coping strategies that once helped you survive but now hold you back. What most people want is relief, clarity, healthier relationships, and a sense of peace with themselves and their lives.

Counseling can be intimidating, but I want to foster a safe, compassionate, and empathetic place where you can talk about the things you don’t know how to talk about. As a therapist, I seek to create a space for your true self to shine through as we work together to confront the challenges, insecurities, and past traumas you carry, and to ultimately find healing. At this stage as you consider therapy and seek to find the right fit, I want to encourage you by simply saying that you are enough. You do not have to be more than who you are. And who you are is worthy of love, of care, and of mental and emotional health.

Therapy is a process and a journey. It takes courage and commitment. For many people, walking through a counselor's door is a huge step. It can feel hopeful and scary at the same time. For others who already have some experience with therapy, they may be looking for someone who can give a different perspective or address a different issue. My approach to counseling is holistic: mind, body and spirit. My goal is to create a safe environment where trust can build and issues can be addressed.

We all strive for a fulfilled life. Peace, joy, and purpose, not just surviving or forcing yourself through the day. Life changes, loss, stress, anxiety, depression, trauma and other challenges can make this difficult at times. Working through challenges and developing a life that is meaningful to you sometimes involves taking a leap and seeking help. Taking this step can be intimidating, but also can bring hope and the ability to move forward into the life you deserve.

Hi there, and welcome, I’m so glad that you're here. Everyone has a different path that they walk in life. If you’ve been carrying invisible wounds for a long time, then you know that healing is not about “just getting over it”- it’s about feeling safe enough to explore your story, finding the language for what’s been an unspeakable burden, and building a life that is worth living for you. Experiencing trauma can shape how you see yourself and it can influence how safe you feel in the world. My work is dedicated to helping others overcome the challenges of trauma by empowering them to build their confidence, trust, and happiness.

Internal Family Systems (IFS) Therapists
What is Internal Family Systems therapy?
Internal Family Systems (IFS) is a type of talk therapy that focuses on sub-personalities, or “families,” within a person, which may be made up of wounded parts and unpleasant emotions like anger and shame. These sub-personalities can come into conflict with each other and with an individual’s core Self, leaving the person feeling detached from positive traits such as the “8 C’s” of confidence, calmness, creativity, clarity, curiosity, courage, compassion, and connectedness. By healing a patient’s wounded parts, a therapist aims to restore balance and bring on positive change.

How does Internal Family Systems therapy work?
An IFS therapist will work with a patient to identify their particular sub-personalities, recognize the emotions powering them, and release them. By doing so, the patient should become more able to address any underlying problems their sub-personalities may have been trying to protect them from. Ultimately, a patient discovers ways to manage internal and external conflicts on their own, through techniques such as relaxation exercises, journaling, and making charts depicting the relationships between their core Self and their distinct parts.

Does Internal Family Systems therapy work?
IFS therapy has been shown to help people address conditions such as depression, anxiety, panic, fears and phobias, trauma, and substance use disorders. Some research has also found that it can help individuals deal with symptoms of physical health conditions like rheumatoid arthritis, such as pain, everyday functioning, depressive feelings, and low self-compassion. There are some conditions for which IFS treatment, specifically discussions of one’s “parts,” may be less appropriate, such as schizophrenia or other states that involve psychosis or paranoia.

How long does Internal Family Systems therapy take?
As with most forms of talk therapy, there is no set duration or end point for IFS therapy. After becoming comfortable with a therapist and the core concepts of IFS, some patients quickly make progress. While experiences vary, most will find that it is a relatively longer-term therapy, involving months and sometimes years of sessions.
