Being able to sit in the room and be present with whoever is sitting across from me is something I am incredibly passionate about. Being able to work with a wide variety of ages, personalities, and mental health diagnoses only makes my job that much more interesting and engaging for me. I don't think I'm able to name 'my ideal client' because I don't think I have one. I want to be able to help whoever I can with any and all of the strategies and tools that we can come up with together, in the room. It's all about showing up however each and every one of my clients' needs me to show up.

I offer both in-person and virtual sessions for teens and adults.
Choosing to start therapy takes courage, and I believe the most important part of that journey is finding a space where you feel truly understood. My practice is dedicated to helping individuals navigate the complexity of their stories—whether that involves untangling the roots of trauma, managing the daily weight of anxiety, or finding a way through the friction of life’s major transitions or relationship challenges. I view our work as a partnership: you are the expert on your life, and I bring a compassionate, clinical lens to help you move toward peace and healing that is lasting.

Therapy is a process and a journey. It takes courage and commitment. For many people, walking through a counselor's door is a huge step. It can feel hopeful and scary at the same time. For others who already have some experience with therapy, they may be looking for someone who can give a different perspective or address a different issue. My approach to counseling is holistic: mind, body and spirit. My goal is to create a safe environment where trust can build and issues can be addressed.

We offer individual, couples and family therapy for children, teens, and adults using evidence-based approaches including EMDR, Brainspotting, trauma-informed CBT, IMAGO, Solution-Focused therapy, and Gottman methods for lasting change.
Many people reach out to therapy feeling stuck in patterns they don’t fully understand. You may be struggling with food, addiction, trauma, relationship conflict, or overwhelming emotions that seem to repeat no matter how hard you try to change. Often these struggles are connected to deeper experiences—attachment wounds, painful memories, or coping strategies that once helped you survive but now hold you back. What most people want is relief, clarity, healthier relationships, and a sense of peace with themselves and their lives.

Life can feel overwhelming and exhausting, but I believe that effective coping and shifting our mindset can make day-to-day life not feel this way. I believe that by letting go of the anxieties and self-doubt that holds us back, we can finally get in touch with the parts of ourselves that we want to celebrate. Sometimes we feel disconnected with those parts of ourselves, and my goal is to help you reconnect with them.

Anxiety disorders are the most common mental illness and yet most sufferers do not have access effective treatment. The good news is that if you or your loved one is troubled with unwanted thoughts or worries, physical symptoms due to anxiety, perfectionism, phobias, health fears, or any other anxiety there is help. Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and more specifically exposure therapy has repeatedly shown to be the most effective approach for defeating anxiety and OCD.

FAQ - Teenage and Adolescent Therapists
What does therapy for teenagers look like?
When a therapist works with a teenager, the pair will talk about what the teen is struggling with and explore solutions, which may involve interpersonal skills, coping strategies, medication, or lifestyle changes related to sleep, diet, and exercise. Different therapists employ different modalities, but most involve a combination of conversation and skill building.

How long does therapy for teenagers generally take to work?
There’s variability in teenagers’ experiences and challenges; some may begin to improve from therapy within a few weeks while others may take several months or longer. Teens can discuss their progress with their therapist periodically to assess how they’re improving and any changes to the treatment plan that could potentially accelerate that progress.

How do you encourage a teenager to go to therapy?
It’s helpful to express your concern and love while framing therapy as an opportunity to explore a tool that could help improve their life; just like they practice baseball or dance, now they can practice their emotional skills. Give your teen control over the process where you can—maybe by weighing in on choice of therapist and signaling that therapy involves confidentiality, so a parent need not know all that is discussed in sessions.

How do you prepare teens for therapy?
You can prepare your teenager for therapy by describing what the process will look like and setting expectations for timeline, if requested. You can explain that the first session may begin with an assessment phase, that they can describe their experiences but that the therapist will ask questions too, and that it may take time to feel comfortable opening up. Ask how they’re feeling about the process and answer any questions calmly and supportively.
