Common issues I treat include: anxiety, self-esteem, attachment difficulties and trauma.
Finding help (and the right kind of help) for your child or even knowing where to start can be overwhelming. The fact that you’re even reading this though says one thing: you have hope, and that’s the first step! Therapy can help your child learn how to navigate difficult emotions, gain understanding of their personal goals, and find confidence in who they are, all in a safe and warm environment.

I work with many clients who struggle with trauma, depression, or anxiety.
If you feel emotionally numb, constantly on edge, or like you can never truly relax, you are not alone. Trauma can leave you stuck in survival mode—disconnected from joy, overwhelmed by stress, or exhausted from always feeling “on.” As a compassionate, trauma-informed therapist, I provide a safe, supportive space where you can begin to heal, reconnect with yourself, and feel more present in your life. Together, we can work through past experiences, build coping skills, and help you move from simply surviving to genuinely living again.

Now you’re anxious, disconnected, or stuck in survival mode.
I’m not a “smile and nod” therapist. I’m real, I challenge gently, and I believe in meeting you where you are while guiding you to where you want to go. My background in trauma work, corrections, and investigations gives me a grounded approach that’s both compassionate and practical. We’ll talk tools. We’ll talk truth. We’ll get you unstuck.

It's common to wish you were ten steps ahead in your journey, grappling with feelings of stagnation and anxiety about how to move forward.

Creating a safe and welcoming environment is at the heart of my therapeutic approach. I prioritize building a strong therapeutic relationship, as I believe that trust and connection are essential.

Most have struggled with anxiety and depression.
I focus on building emotional trust and safety with my clients. I mainly practice Person-Centered Therapy and Internal Family Systems (IFS) therapy. I find both approaches work very well in teletherapy. I may also incorporate skills-training, such as visualization, meditation, and breath-work. Most clients see improvement within the first eight sessions.

My work focuses on helping children, teens, and adults navigate anxiety, depression, trauma, and emotional regulation challenges.
Admitting we need help can be one of the hardest first steps. It takes courage to say, “I can’t do this alone,” and even more to trust someone with your story. My goal is to make that step feel less overwhelming by creating a space that feels safe, welcoming, and centered on your unique journey. Therapy is most effective when you feel genuinely heard and valued, when there’s room to explore both the pain and the possibility, and when progress unfolds through curiosity, compassion, and collaboration instead of pressure or judgment. I provide evidence-based support to individuals and families using a person-centered approach.

When should I seek treatment for anxiety?
Everyone feels anxious at times, but when anxiety causes disruption to your daily life, it may be time to seek help. Such disruption can be mental, physical, or both: having fear dominate your thoughts, avoiding situations or objects that bring on feelings of anxiety, or experiencing shortness of breath, sweating, dizziness, or panic attacks. When these symptoms are recurrent and distressing, it may be time to talk to someone.
What are the most common types of treatment for anxiety?
Talk therapy, particularly cognitive behavioral therapy, is the most common treatment for anxiety. Studies have shown it is equally effective as medication. Other popular forms of therapy are popular, depending on a patient’s experience. Exposure therapy, for instance, can be useful for people dealing with fears and phobias, or who have experienced traumatic events. Dialectical Behavioral Therapy may be useful for patients who need help with emotion regulation. Anxiolytic medications, like benzodiazepines, can also help with calming a person enough to focus on the skills they’ve learned, and physical exercise has been shown to help symptoms of anxiety across the board.
How long does therapy for anxiety take to work?
The amount of time needed to alleviate symptoms depends on the severity of a person’s condition. Some therapies may take 5-20 weekly sessions to show results. Anti-depressant medications typically take two to four weeks before a benefit is felt. Anti-anxiety medications are felt typically within 20-30 minutes. Medications are best used to offer a patient a better headspace in which to work on techniques learned in therapy. Exercise, improved sleep habits, and meditation are effective, but takes weeks or months to show results.
How effective is treatment for anxiety?
Treatment for anxiety has been shown to be moderately to highly effective, according to a large body of psychology studies and analyses. For some people, treatment using CBT or exposure therapy alone is effective. Others respond best to a combination of medication and therapy.
