If you have experienced a trauma or a disturbing life event EMDR therapy can help you feel better faster.
Sometimes in life things happen that we don't feel we can solve on our own. Things can build up over time and take a toll on us emotionally and physically. Therapy is a place where you can make sense of things and heal. We can develop a plan specific to your individual needs using evidence based therapy techniques like Mindfulness Based Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Eye Movement Desensitization and Reproccessing (EMDR). Both these therapies are extremely effective for treating anxiety, depression, and trauma related symptoms and distress.

Image a life that allows you to move forward, experiencing all life has to offer to it's fullest. Change is possible and through the guidance and support of therapy, one can maximize all that life has to offer. Change lies within each of us, and with personal responsibility and direction one can achieve life goals. The potential of any individual is determined not by past struggles but in one's ability to overcome personal struggle and capitalize on one's inherent resilience. With guidance and direction, one can move out of the shadows of the past, into a vibrant, hopeful future.

I believe that every person can heal and create the life they want. It is easy for past trauma , life transitions, and daily stresses to keep us from feeling balanced and healthy. Therapy is a safe place to learn new skills, gain insight, practice self-care, and to find purpose and meaning in everyday life. It is also a tool to empower change and to promote healing.

I specialize in Anxiety, Depression, PTSD , Trauma , Grief and Loss, Stress Management, Self-Esteem, Work and Career Issues, Infertility and Parenting Support.
I am passionate about helping individuals find their inner strength and voice. I started my own practice, Paris Counseling, after realizing my desire for an open-minded, non-judgmental and safe atmosphere where I can bring compassion, honesty, and humor to therapy. If you are looking for an uptight, stuffy therapist, this probably is not your stop. With my own company, I can ensure all my fellow therapists and employees share my vision. I use a solution-focused approach and work collaboratively with my clients, their support systems, and any other means of assistance, to ensure they receive optimum care.

I have extensive experience in various settings working with teens and teen topics, women's mental health, anxiety and depression symptoms resulting from relationship issues, life transitions, and trauma .
We all carry our past experiences with us. They help to shape us into who we are today and fill the pages of our book of life. Some of these experiences bring us joy, while others bring us heartbreak. There are some that follow a clear path, while there are others that challenge us with unexpected twists and turns. As we move through the chapters in our book of life, there are times when we can steer easily through these experiences. However, for those times that you may need support with navigating, I am here to help you reintroduce control, empowerment, fulfillment, and provide you with the tools needed to move forward.

Trauma and PTSD Therapists
Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) is a psychological reaction that occurs after an extremely stressful event, such as physical violence or military combat. Those suffering from PTSD have recurring memories of the stressful event and are anxious or scared even in the absence of danger. Flashbacks and nightmares are common symptoms as well.
