I left my career in the finance industry to pursue my passion for healing and health in 2013. I have a warm and caring personality and am experienced working with individuals, couples, families and children. I use a variety of treatment modalities, but my approach is very client-centered. I often utilize a cognitive behavioral approach to counseling, helping clients understand the relationship between their thoughts, feelings and behaviors and learning which they can control.

I help people who are struggling at work, who feel like work must be easier for everyone else, and kids and other students of all ages who have ADHD or trouble learning. I also help middle-aged people with memory problems who want to prevent dementia and Alzheimer's Disease. My other main focus areas are traumatic brain injury, post-concussion syndrome, Bell's Palsy, and panic attacks. I have had amazing results. I am a pre licensed clinician with 25 + years experience. I am a private practitioner who works with children, adolescents, adults and families. I have worked with those involved with the department of Child Services from CHINS thru adoption, Indiana courts and individual attorneys. I have extensive training in play based techniques, Dialectical Behavior therapies, cognitive based therapy techniques and focus heavily on trauma recovery, attachment and self regulation techniques. I believe in a client centered approach and focus on the needs of the individual/family and adapt a therapy model based on that need.

The counseling process can and should involve exploring goals and needs. It is ok to have an idea of how counseling can help, and it's okay to let me help you explore that topic. Not everyone knows what they want or why. And, sometimes, what we want and need changes. The ideal client is willing to show up and do some exploring.

I am passionate about helping adolescents, adults, couples, and families identify how past experiences impact current perceptions of self, relationships, and safety in the world. I work with meeting clients where they are at and support them in this journey. I utilize psychoeducation and mindfulness techniques to help clients gain awareness of the mind-body connection. I have been trained in models including; Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Flash Technique for working through trauma, Restoration Therapy, and I have completed Levels 1 and 2 Training in Gottman Method Couples Therapy.

I have been in the mental health field for over 20 years. I believe that no matter what challenges one has faced in life, healing and wholeness is always possible. I work with clients who have been raped, or had any type of physical or sexual abuse. I also work with clients who struggle with depression, anxiety, College and Career issues, relationship issues, grief, loss, and reproduction losses. I work with those who struggle with confusion or questions about their beliefs. I have 8 years experience as a hospital Social Worker, working with the critically ill, as well as the death and dying patient and their families.
