I strive to create a space where my clients feel truly seen, heard, and valued, exactly as you are. My approach is rooted in unconditional positive regard, compassion, curiosity and collaboration. I believe healing happens when we feel safe enough to explore our inner world and supported enough to challenge what no longer serves us.

People come to therapy when the pain that they are feeling becomes unmanageable and can no longer be ignored. I have worked with men and women, helping them to discover and understand how they have repeated and become "stuck" in non-productive patterns with the most important people in their lives. Couples often say, they continue to have the same fights, over and over and never realize what they are really fighting about or come to a resolution.

Life is full of traumatic events and we all have been traumatized to a certain degree. We are the only ones who can define it and we are all impacted differently by it. For many of us, our trauma negatively impacts our beliefs about ourselves and our worth. Having a negative core belief system often leads to substance abuse and other maladaptive behavior as a means to numb our pain and drown our shame. I have spent years working with individuals who struggle with substance use and addiction and have come to learn that the majority of them have suffered from trauma. You do not have to continue to suffer. I am here to help.

Do you struggle with feelings of worthlessness, hopelessness, and thoughts about not being good enough? Do you find yourself worrying about your intimate and platonic relationships? Do you often get accused of "overreacting" to a situation? You’re not alone! My approach is warm, interactive, and non-judgmental. Although flexible, I tend to use a combination of EMDR (eye movement desensitization and reprocessing), CBT (cognitive behavioral therapy), Person-Centered Therapy, and mindfulness-based techniques.

I use a collaborative, psychodynamic approach that takes into account the complex factors that make each person’s experience unique including family history, personality style, coping mechanisms, relational patterns, and personal goals.
Are anxiety or feelings of emptiness keeping you disconnected from your own life? Do you feel stuck in unsatisfying patterns that are negatively affecting your well-being or relationships? These symptoms likely started as attempts towards solutions as you adapted to meet life’s challenges or overcome trauma. Except, these solutions are no longer working for you and might be making things worse, but it is not too late to change! You have made the first step by seeking out support in your path towards wellness.

Desiring healthier relationships? I'm an integrative psychotherapist working within a relational lens. What this means is that I bring together ideas, techniques, and theories from different evidence-based schools of psychotherapy. In addition, I also understand that psychological life develops in, and is continually shaped by relationships. This is a tailored approach that helps to foster deep, lasting change in how a person experiences themselves and others.

I work from a psychodynamic and interactive perspective to assist individuals, couples, and families to become more conscious of how their past experiences have shaped current relationships.
I believe in an integrative approach as no one approach works universally. My training is rooted in depth psychology (making the unconscious conscious); attachment theory (exploring how early emotional bonds affect emotional development and relationships throughout life); and object relations (looking at how we developed in relation to others).
