I am passionate about working with people who have anxiety disorders and OCD - in my experience they are clear how long they have suffered, they work hard in treatment, and, then, they get better. That, to me, is the point of treatment... to feel better and to start doing the things in life you value. Anxiety and OCD can make you feel horribly stuck in fears and upsetting thoughts, often having thoughts that leave you confused or terrified. My treatment specialty, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), aims to make thoughts less scary and to make things that feel impossible... easier.

Sometimes aspects of your life just don't seem to be going well, you feel overwhelmed, or you are seeking self-improvement. My goal is to work with you in a collaborative manner in a safe, judgement free environment. You have the strength within you to make positive changes. I am currently accepting in person sessions in Greater Indianapolis area, for educational and intellectual giftedness testing. I do therapeutic work with children, adolescents and adults, managing challenges like anxiety , depression, trauma response, or ADHD. I also help parents with implementing Behavior therapy strategies for emotional and behavioral struggles in children. It is my belief that many people struggle through their days with feelings of stress and anxiety to the point where they begin to accept it as a normal part of their lives. I'm here to tell you it doesn't have to be. Oftentimes, the thought of finding a therapist you can relate to seems more daunting than your current daily struggles. You continue to live in a cloud of overwhelm, struggling to make it through each day and hoping tomorrow will be better... but it's not.

I believe people seek out counseling for one of two reasons. First, they find themselves in a crisis situation with their life out of balance. This may be due to the discomfort of anxiety or depression, an out of control addiction, the stress of an unsatisfying relationship, a child who is struggling or the heartache of grief. Secondly, their life may be in balance but they are at a decision point or feel a need for self-improvement including career concerns, a desire to improve a relationship or a need to explore obtaining their fullest potential. I have a passion for helping with building skills that encourage a balanced healthy lifestyle in both children and adults. These skills may help with managing emotions, dealing with anxiety /depression, coping with traumatic experiences, learning social skills, or processing through grief/loss. Learning to be successful in managing emotions and navigating peer/family relationships is a positive tool that can lead to a healthy and happier life. I strive to provide supportive tools to help with gaining emotional health/regulation skills that can be confidently applied to many situations.
