Do you find yourself trying to make sense of life, transition or change? Such times can leave you feeling stuck, overwhelmed, lost, alone and exhausted. Maybe you are struggling to find yourself, what you care about, who you really are, what you want to be in this world and how to go forward. Sometimes life just has a way of undoing us and sometimes we need a little help to get on track, to find our center and to not feel so alone. I believe each of us has our own wisdom, desires growth and healing, and wants to make a difference… and sometimes we lose our way.

Life isn't easy. It's common to feel lost, without much of an idea where to go next. Whether this be due to navigating relationships, wanting to feel more authentic as people, or just struggling to feel "right". As your therapist, my goal is to meet you where you are and help you figure out where your path leads. That means identifying the challenges you're facing and finding realistic and meaningful ways to address them. I specialize in existential therapy with psychoanalytic insights, and enjoy working with teens, college students, and young adults.

I believe that everyone deserves relief from emotional distress so that they can better manage their lives, participate in their community, and achieve their hopes and dreams. I also believe that people are much more than their diagnoses; both our minds and our bodies send us information to help us heal. I enjoy working with clients on whole person care by integrating physical health (diet, sleep, exercise) with a variety of therapeutic styles in order to meet a client where they are at in their journey of healing.

Life brings twists and turns, and sometimes it helps to have a steady, supportive guide along the way. I offer a compassionate, non-judgmental space where you can feel heard, encouraged, and understood. As a licensed therapist, I draw on a strengths-based approach honoring what’s already working while gently exploring areas that may need extra care or growth. I believe the mind and body are deeply connected and can support one another in the healing process. In our work together, we may use strategies like boundary setting, mindfulness, self-care, and self-compassion to help you feel more grounded and resilient.

Sometimes life confronts us with experiences that are disruptive personally or in our relationships resulting in feelings of depression, anxiety, or loss. While these feelings are normal, they can present challenges in terms of maintaining our sense of well-being and our ability to function well in our daily lives. In my view, the purpose of therapy is to help clients understand the source of disruptions, help them learn strategies for coping with and working-through difficult emotions, and become aware of triggering experiences. In this way, clients can learn how to repair disruptions and thereby restore their sense of well-being.

I view my role as companion on the journey to mental and emotional wellness. Symptoms are trailheads that lead to places where healing is needed. My approach is both practical and spiritual—in a broad sense of the word. Happiness is fleeting; joy abides. Joy is experienced when life has purpose and meaning.
I have experience working with problems and diagnoses including depression, anxiety, sleep disturbance, bipolar disorder, substance use, and some personality disorders.
