More recently, I have seen a lot of college students and adult females struggling with anxiety, depression, life stress or transitions, and relationship trauma and healing.
Hi my name is Keeli! I'm a licensed clinical social worker with a background in mental health case management, school-based services, community mental health and private practice. I believe in meeting people where they are and feel one of my best strengths is the connection I have built with so many clients throughout my years. My goal is to work in collaboration to determine your needs and what you want to get out of therapy so we can make a plan that fits best with you. I want to be an unbiased, but honest support as you work towards your goals and healing!

It’s an honor to walk alongside my clients as they navigate the path toward healing, self-discovery, and meaningful change. I believe that therapy should be more than just a conversation—it should be a transformative experience, tailored to your unique needs and designed to foster lasting growth, resilience, and fulfillment. Richard Schwartz, the founder of Internal Family Systems (IFS), once said, “All parts are welcome.” My mission is to create a space where you can embrace every aspect of yourself—without fear or judgment—while also feeling empowered to grow into the version of yourself you strive to be.

Are you the athlete who looks unstoppable on the surface but battles self-doubt when no one's watching? Maybe you're navigating a major transition—changing teams, retiring from sport, or figuring out who you are beyond your performance. You might be carrying the weight of being "the only one" in spaces where you don't see yourself reflected. You're tired of generic advice and need someone who understands the unique pressures of competition, perfectionism, and proving yourself in environments that weren't built for you. You want a therapist who won't minimize your experience or tell you to "just think positive". I actually get it.

I'm passionate about helping clients navigate the challenges of depression, anxiety, trauma, childhood issues and more.
Embarking on the journey of therapy can often feel overwhelming for many individuals. It’s not uncommon to experience uncertainty about the process, question its potential benefits, or feel as though you need to be further along in your personal growth before seeking assistance. I recognize these challenges and am committed to creating a compassionate and nurturing environment where clients can safely explore their thoughts and emotions. My objective is to help clients understand that each step, no matter how small, is a vital part of the journey toward healing and personal development.

I help with anxiety, depression, and substance use with practical approaches: harm reduction perspectives, CBT/DBT techniques, and mindfulness-based stress reduction.
Looking through endless therapist profiles can be exhausting when you're already struggling. Let me make this simple: I don't sugarcoat things. I'm here to actively work with you, not just listen and nod like a sounding board. Working together, we can actually change what's not working by developing practical skills that are effective and easy to use. I've witnessed countless journeys of growth and healing and I believe wholeheartedly in your capacity for change. I work well with all kinds of people, and I especially click with gamers, students, and musicians (shared interests tend to lead to a better therapeutic connection).

I help individuals, including children and teens, navigate anxiety, depression, trauma, PTSD, behavioral issues, and life adjustments.
Taking the first step toward counseling can be daunting and requires great courage. Many people fear judgment, the uncertainty of the process, or the vulnerability that comes with opening up. Breaking the stigma surrounding mental health can feel overwhelming, but seeking support is a powerful step toward healing, growth, and self-awareness. Mental health is a lifelong journey, and building emotional resilience is essential at every stage of life. My goal is to create a safe, supportive space where clients feel empowered to explore their thoughts and emotions without fear.

Depression Therapists
What is the goal of therapy for depression?
Therapy for depression has several major goals. One is to relieve the mental pain of depression, which distorts feeling and thinking so that sufferers cannot see beyond their current state of mind or envision feeling better. Another is to give people the mental tools to recognize and correct the kinds of distorted thinking that turn a problem into a catastrophe and lead to despair. Therapy also teaches people how to process negative emotions in constructive ways, so they have more control over their own emotional reactivity. And it helps people regain the ability to see themselves positively, the motivation to do things, and the capacity for pleasure.

What happens in therapy for depression?
Perhaps most important, no matter the type of therapy, patients form an alliance with the therapist; that connection is therapeutic in itself, plus it becomes an instrument of change. Patients learn to identify and to challenge their own erroneous beliefs and thoughts that amplify the effects of negative experiences. They learn to identify situations in which they are especially vulnerable. And they learn new patterns of thinking and behaving. They may be given “homework” assignments in which they practice their developing skills. In addition, good therapists regularly monitor patients to assess whether and how much the condition is improving.

What therapy types help with depression?
Several types of short-term therapy have been found effective, each targeting one or more areas of dysfunction. Cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) helps clients challenge their negative thoughts and beliefs, learn new behavioral strategies, and curb reactivity to distressing situations. Behavioral activation (BA) is a form of therapy often used in conjunction with CBT; it focuses on engagement in rewarding activity as a pathway to changing negative feelings and disturbed mood. Another widely used approach is interpersonal therapy (IPT), which targets the social difficulties that both give rise to and get exacerbated by depression. Therapists may combine approaches as needed.

Can therapy for depression be done online?
Studies have found that online therapy can be highly effective for treating depression, although it may be more challenging to build a good therapist-patient alliance on screen than in person—at least at first. However, online therapy can offer considerable advantages. Accessibility and convenience are tops among them. Some people actually find it easier to talk about problems online than in person. While online therapy typically limits visibility of facial expression and body gestures that give important nonverbal cues to a patient’s state of mind, it can give therapists a glimpse into a patient’s world and life, providing information that can be highly useful in guiding therapy.

How effective is therapy for depression?
Many studies show that therapy is highly effective provided that patients complete the prescribed course of therapy, commonly 16 to 20 sessions. Over the long term, it is more effective than medication and the effects are more enduring. As a result, psychotherapy has the power not just to relieve current suffering but to prevent future episodes of the disorder. Therapy reverses the dysfunction in neural circuitry that disposes individuals to a negative view of themselves, the world, and their future and they acquire coping techniques, problem-solving skills, and understanding of their own vulnerabilities that are useful over the course of a lifetime.
