I spent several years in middle and high schools working with teenagers.
Hi my name is Keeli! I'm a licensed clinical social worker with a background in mental health case management, school-based services, community mental health and private practice. I believe in meeting people where they are and feel one of my best strengths is the connection I have built with so many clients throughout my years. My goal is to work in collaboration to determine your needs and what you want to get out of therapy so we can make a plan that fits best with you. I want to be an unbiased, but honest support as you work towards your goals and healing!

Life surprises us sometimes… In those moments it is helpful to have someone to come alongside us to provide genuine presence, professionalism and expertise, balanced with compassion, to help through times of transition, trauma or growth. I am passionate about offering encouragement, steps for healing and coping, insight, psychoeducation and interpretation when families are struggling to understand one another. Learning how to navigate life’s courses with sensitivity, kindness and realistic perspective can be more easily undertaken in a therapeutic forum that is accepting and direct. Office, teletherapy, walk/talk or home based.

It's easy to feel stuck, grappling with a world that often feels overwhelming and uncertain. You might be struggling to find hope or a sense of grounding, experiencing an exhaustion that makes daily life and relationships feel incredibly heavy. Many who feel this way deeply desire to understand these feelings, reclaim their sense of direction, and navigate life with more clarity and peace. They're seeking a way to feel like themselves again, or even better.

I help individuals, including children and teens, navigate anxiety, depression, trauma, PTSD, behavioral issues, and life adjustments.
Taking the first step toward counseling can be daunting and requires great courage. Many people fear judgment, the uncertainty of the process, or the vulnerability that comes with opening up. Breaking the stigma surrounding mental health can feel overwhelming, but seeking support is a powerful step toward healing, growth, and self-awareness. Mental health is a lifelong journey, and building emotional resilience is essential at every stage of life. My goal is to create a safe, supportive space where clients feel empowered to explore their thoughts and emotions without fear.

I draw upon clinical experience working with teens, young adults, LGBTQIA+ individuals, and people navigating substance use to inform my counseling approach.
I aim to support people who value authenticity, dignity, and respect and who are seeking clarity or a stronger sense of self. My focus is helping guys who feel lost or disconnected face avoidance and develop a more grounded, values-based sense of identity. I also welcome anyone who is navigating trauma, neurodivergence, or substance use.

Therapy can feel intimidating at first, but know that you don't have to face your worries or problems alone. I work with people ages 4+ to address a variety of stressors including anxiety, trauma, mood dysregulation, interpersonal challenges, and grief. I strive to create a safe space for self-exploration and growth. Trust and connection are key, and progress comes from discomfort. My role is to help you embrace challenges while staying transparent. I often tell clients—especially adults—that if therapy never feels uncomfortable, I’m not doing my job right.

FAQ - Teenage and Adolescent Therapists
What does therapy for teenagers look like?
When a therapist works with a teenager, the pair will talk about what the teen is struggling with and explore solutions, which may involve interpersonal skills, coping strategies, medication, or lifestyle changes related to sleep, diet, and exercise. Different therapists employ different modalities, but most involve a combination of conversation and skill building.

How long does therapy for teenagers generally take to work?
There’s variability in teenagers’ experiences and challenges; some may begin to improve from therapy within a few weeks while others may take several months or longer. Teens can discuss their progress with their therapist periodically to assess how they’re improving and any changes to the treatment plan that could potentially accelerate that progress.

How do you encourage a teenager to go to therapy?
It’s helpful to express your concern and love while framing therapy as an opportunity to explore a tool that could help improve their life; just like they practice baseball or dance, now they can practice their emotional skills. Give your teen control over the process where you can—maybe by weighing in on choice of therapist and signaling that therapy involves confidentiality, so a parent need not know all that is discussed in sessions.

How do you prepare teens for therapy?
You can prepare your teenager for therapy by describing what the process will look like and setting expectations for timeline, if requested. You can explain that the first session may begin with an assessment phase, that they can describe their experiences but that the therapist will ask questions too, and that it may take time to feel comfortable opening up. Ask how they’re feeling about the process and answer any questions calmly and supportively.
