I am a psychologist experienced in helping children, teens and adults. My experiences in the mental health field began in 1981 and include working with the seriously mentally ill, treating traumatized children, and working with the oppressed. These experiences have taught me the importance of maintaining compassion for others even when they are in extreme states or are easily wounded. Working with different cultures has taught me to respect the world view and values of others. My background helps me to understand struggles of all types with a greater depth and sensitivity. All problems, worries and concerns are significant and deserving of a serious approach.

Over the last 15 years, I have worked within schools, Behavioral Health agencies, and Family court as a Court Mediator. I enjoy working with adults and children. My areas of specialty are Anxiety, Depression, post-traumatic stress (EMDR), couples therapy, parenting and co-parenting issues, parental alienation, adolescent behavior issues, anger issues and child play therapy. I have been effective in working with clients to identify their or parent's goals to overcome their personal barriers. Working from home while homeschooling our sweet (but sometimes difficult) children can increase family stress and parenting guilt. Children may act out with increased defiance, distractibility, anger outburst, clinginess or sleep issues.
