About
I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor, with expertise in providing therapy services to children and adolescents. My mission is to ignite awareness in our youth that they are fearfully and wonderfully made. Helping children learn to embrace their imperfections breeds confidence and produce freedom in loving who they are. The bravest thing a child can be is themselves. Utilizing evidence-based practices, I assist children and adolescents to make sense of what is going on in their minds, bodies, and lives. Assisting them to move toward greater health and wholeness in a safe, non-judgmental environment is always my focus.
Children face many issues that mimic adult issues like anxiety, depression, and stress. Through a client-centered focus, I work with families to explore and understand their child's cognition, emotions, and behaviors to strengthen awareness and emotional intelligence in a way they can understand.
Many children and adolescents who are experiencing mental health distress may not share these concerns with their parents for fear of disappointment.
