Hello there! I'm Raquel! I’m an expert at conducting and writing psychological evaluations for Immigration cases, since 2012. My work focuses mostly on writing reports and evaluations for all sorts of cases. The other part of my job consists in running psychotherapy sessions. My focus is mainly towards individual and family needs, using Family System, CBT and Strength-Based approach. I'm also experienced with children trauma, behavior issues, anger management, domestic violence, PTSD, Depression and Anxiety. I am a native Portuguese/Spanish speaker and have experience working with clients with a history of trauma and abuse.
I offer psychosocial evaluations for immigration cases for use in the following situations: ● Hardship Waivers ● Cancellation of Removal ● VAWA and Spousal Abuse ● U-visas ● T- visas ● Asylum, Withholding of Removal My approach is to work closely with attorneys and their clients to provide a thorough and efficient evaluation process.
A psychological evaluation can be instrumental in demonstrating that the removal of an immigrant would cause extreme hardship to a U.S. citizen. It can also be critical in predicting the impact of separation on the family member’s social and emotional functioning; for instance, the likelihood of severe psychiatric decompensation.
