During our first session, we will focus on getting to know you and understanding your reasons for seeking therapy. I will ask questions about your background, current concerns, mental health history, and what you hope to achieve in therapy. This helps me get a clear picture of your unique situation and begin identifying goals together. We will also review how therapy works, discuss confidentiality and professional boundaries, and answer any questions you have about the process.
Our first session will be an opportunity for us to get to know one another. We’ll discuss your background and what brings you to therapy. Therapy is a process, and we’ll continue to build our work together over time. It’s completely normal to feel nervous about your first appointment.
My greatest strengths as a therapist are my ability to create a warm, collaborative, and nonjudgmental space where clients feel heard, respected, and supported. I am skilled at integrating evidence-based approaches—including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Trauma-Focused CBT, Solution-Focused Brief Therapy.
