High-achieving women and mothers often carry more than anyone sees. When burnout, anxiety, or past trauma begin surfacing, you need more than quick coping tools. At Illuminate Counseling, our team specializes in trauma therapy, perinatal mental health, anxiety, and nervous system regulation. Using somatic and evidence-based approaches, we help high-functioning women and families move from survival mode to clarity, emotional stability, and deeper connection in relationships, motherhood, and meaningful work. I work with young adults (16+), new parents, and healthcare and education professionals who are navigating the fog of trauma, grief, or life shifts— Those who are surviving or have survived deep losses, who feel uncertain, and who want to try even when the path forward isn’t clear. My exploratory, empowerment-centered, neuro-affirmative approach shared through attachment-informed interventions often works well with clients who are curious even if cautious, and are ready to commit towards exploring goals for healing and wellbeing.

I’m passionate about journeys and stories. I see therapy as an opportunity to journey alongside you during moments of change, challenge, and exploration. Together, we’ll work to restore hope, trust, stability and connection in your life story.

Often, kids and teens feel unheard, because they are still developing the complex skills of communication and satisfying their needs in healthy ways. Having a trusted adult who they can connect with can be an important element to support new skills and processing big content like grief, trauma, or anxiety.
I take time to understand the interests and hobbies of kids and teens, which is often how I get their attention and investment. I am a bit of a nerd, and I find that my genuine interest and respect encourages kids ease up and start expressing themselves authentically

You may have learned to keep the peace, manage other's emotions, or put everyone else first. You may be navigating trauma, a difficult childhood, unhealthy generational patterns, or anxiety/depression. This can be a place to decide what you want to carry forward—and what ends with
Couples: You love each other but keep having the same argument. One of you shuts down while the other pushes. Maybe you've become so focused on keeping the peace, and neither of you feels fully known. Therapy can help you understand the pattern, communicate what you actually need, and create a relationship where both people have room to be themselves.
