3) ADHD treatment for children, involving families and schools, specifically children's social development.
Teletherapy Offered...People are not their diagnoses even though these labels can sometimes be informative. I prefer to get to know you. Specifically, what do you want out of therapy? What is currently working for you, not working? What brings you in to see me in this moment? I believe that therapy is not only about reducing our suffering, but also finding meaning and fulfillment in our lives. It is about getting to know ourselves, parts that we love, parts that we are afraid of, parts that we don't yet understand. People are also not things that need to be "fixed", instead, this is a place for healing, self-compassion, and growth.

I specialize in adult/teen depression, anxiety, ADHD and relationship/family issues. Response time 24 business hours to calls or emails. My first priority is to understand you as a person. If you are feeling hesitant about therapy, understand that this is normal: letting another person into your private space can be frightening. A good therapist, however, will accept you as you are, with all the good and the ugly. Courage!

I help with depression, anxiety, trauma, disordered eating, ADHD , and life transitions.
Let's be honest, it's been a tough year (or two!) and our kiddos have been through some stuff. Have you noticed your child feeling more anxious and worried? Are they having issues in relationships at school? Isolating themselves for just feeling down in general? I help children, teens and young adults become more self-confident, more able to manage big emotions, and be more effective in their relationships. I collaborate with parents to develop a clear path to healing for your child and provide regular, check-ins with parents. Therapy will be fun and your child will be on their way to feeling like their favorite self again.

Therapy is a safe place to come just as we are, with no pressure on what to say or do in the session. Real progress often begins after we take the courage to truly explore our issues and face them head on. I am passionate about working with teenagers and adults (15+) who experience a wide range of concerns, but I specialize in: anxiety, panic, depression, ADHD , and PTSD; including complex trauma. Often these are people who, despite strong feelings of shame and guilt, are working their hardest to be happy and good people.

My experience allows me to help in many areas including anxiety, stress management, grieving/loss, behavioral concerns, school motivation, depression, ADHD , self-injury, and LGBTQ+.
Do you have a child or teenager who is struggling with self-esteem, anxiety, peer relationships, and/or depression? Is your child showing a lot of anger, refusing to go to school, or getting in trouble at school often? Is your child staying in their room all day, or rarely coming out to interact with the family? This pandemic has brought on a lot of personal struggles for our youth, especially when peer interaction is so important to them.

Teletherapy
Teletherapy and Online counseling have grown enormously as a medium for therapy since the advent of social distancing. Most therapists are happy to provide sessions by video or phone.

All professionals are licensed to provide video therapy to clients within the State in which they hold their license. Cross State licensing exists, but is rare.

So if you're a client in Illinois, this list of teletherapists are licensed to provide therapy to you online (by phone, video or text based chat) because they are within your state. They are sorted nearest to furthest, with professionals in Illinois listed first.

Teletherapy via phone or video can be very similar to conventional in person sessions. The message is the same, even if the medium is different. There are some advantages in the form of convenience, lack of travel and being in comfort of your own home. Set against those, professionals find it more difficult to read non-verbal signals of their clients, and you may find you yourself can be more easily distracted.
