I have over 25 years of experience as a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor. I have been in private practice since 2005 working with individuals, couples and families to address a variety of concerns. Many clients I work with have presenting issues including depression, anxiety, relational, and situational concerns. I particularly enjoy working with adolescents and young adults. I also currently provide counseling services at the University of Illinois as the Director of Faculty/Staff Assistance and Well-Being Services.
My goal with clients is to establish a strong therapeutic relationship so that they feel free and safe to process their concerns. My approach is a person centered, strength based approach that utilizes cognitive/behavioral and solution focused strategies to work on or resolve life's challenges.
