I hope to help you on your journey of growth and self-discovery. I enjoy working with clients to reflect on their experiences and find new ways to express themselves, communicate, and cope with life’s challenges. I have experience working with ADHD, anger control, anxiety, communication difficulties, depression, low self-esteem, marital conflict, mood disorders, and trauma. I have previously worked in an outpatient setting and in a medical center providing crisis intervention and evaluation.

¡Hola! Before anything else, I want to acknowledge the strength it takes to reach out for support. Caring for your mental health isn’t always easy—especially in our Latinx community, where seeking help can still carry stigma. As a fellow Latina, I understand how heavy that can feel. But there is truly nothing to be ashamed of. We all deserve support, and we all need it from time to time. Most importantly, you don’t have to navigate any of this on your own. I’m here to walk alongside you.

Because we cannot clearly see our mental health it is easy to overlook. Coming to the conclusion to seek counseling can be scary, but it is also a very important decision. The only person who can make meaningful long-lasting changes in your life is you and seeking guidance to make those changes is a big first step. Some changes happen quickly while others may take a while, but with all change it can be beneficial to have someone on the outside for support. Mental health looks different for everyone and therefore should be treated uniquely for each individual.

We all experience seasons of sinking, surviving, and thriving. Most people are carrying stories, experiences, expectations, and wounds that have pulled them away from who they truly are. No matter where you find yourself today, you deserve a space where you can show up authentically and be supported without judgment. I view therapy as an opportunity to explore your roots, understand your patterns, strengthen your foundation, and intentionally cultivate the life you desire. Together, we'll create space for healing, growth, and a deeper understanding of the real, authentic you.

I am devoted to helping people not only address their physical and mental health, but also to identify how stigma impacts the healing process. I began in 2014, working with both adolescents experiencing Substance Use Disorder and their families. Since that time, I have developed skills working with people experiencing a wider range of challenges including: depression and other mood disorders, anxiety, and trauma. My intention in every session is to provide a safe space for people of any race, gender, sexual orientation or family structure (however that may look for you). Asking for help is hard and I can only hope to honor that.

Whether you are starting therapy for the first time or returning after a pause, you are making an investment in yourself. That said, I understand the process can bring a wave of emotions, which is why it is of the utmost importance to me to create a safe and affirming space where you can feel seen, heard, and supported as you navigate life’s challenges. I am passionate about supporting people who struggle with addiction, many of whom have felt stigmatized and unfairly “put into a box.”

At Mack's Empowerment Counseling, we know clients do not want to be in therapy forever. I work with clients at their own pace to not only process what they are going through, but also help them be autonomous. I help clients process through different situations while teaching them coping and wellness skills to take control of their own lives. I also create a non-judgmental space, flexibility and adaptability to address different client needs. I also specialize in assisting clients in processing crisis situations and help develop a plan to move forward.

I work with clients seeking help related to coping skills - especially relationship work in the realm of anxiety and anger management. I focus on calm expectations to enable clients to see things through a different lens in order to focus on their best selves. I work with individuals and couples. I ask you to allow yourself the space for growth, healing, and self-discovery. Therapy is not a destination, but a process—one that can be filled with both challenges and breakthroughs. It’s a space where you can be open, vulnerable, and most importantly, true to yourself.

I strive to create a safe space for children and teenagers to explore who they are. It is a challenging time, full of big feelings and lots of transitions. During this time, it is easy to feel misunderstood or alone. I work to help clients feel heard and supported.
