I began my career as an elementary school teacher, where I discovered a passion for supporting the emotional and developmental needs of young learners. This experience laid the foundation to transition into the mental health field. Ileen holds a degree from Universidad del Turabo and later pursued advanced clinical mental health studies at Troy University in Tampa Bay, Florida, further equipping her with the clinical knowledge and therapeutic tools.
I hold extensive experience working in community mental health settings, focusing on issues such as trauma, attachment, mood dysregulation, suicidal ideation, crisis intervention, and learning disabilities. My clinical approach incorporates Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART).
