As a Bi-lingual/Bi-cultural Latina clinician I am passionate about working with BIPOC individuals and families that have been severely impacted by trauma and those that do not have the means or access to traditional health care. My desire is to work with a multicultural population that is looking to break free from the chains of cultural tradition and stigma associated to mental health. Taking a closer look at the mind, body and spirit allows me the opportunity to work from a holistic perspective and focus on the patient within it's environment as a whole.
I have a holistic approach that operates with framework gathered from Somatic and Attachment Focused Eye Movement and Desensitization and Reprocessing, Family Systems Theory, Choice Theory, and Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy. My approach is non-traditional in the sense that I work with the individual in healing the body from the inside out.
I was drawn to specialize in trauma after experiencing and witnessing the amazing acts of courage and healing a person can go through after surviving the worst moments of their life. I am inspired to come to work each day by my client's dedication and courage. I love helping clients learn to manage stress enabling them to enjoy life to the fullest.
