Do you feel that you are all alone and no one will ever understand what you are going through? We all need extra support and to know that we are not alone. I hope to foster a therapeutic relationship where you feel nurtured, respected, and know that your thoughts and feelings matter. My approach to therapy is strengths-based. I treat the whole person and do not have a one-size-fits-all approach. I believe each individual is unique and can overcome any obstacle. I practice a non-judgmental and empathetic approach and support individuals as they confront their issues and help them realize their unique strengths.

As a new mom, anxiety and depression is probably the last thing you want to be dealing with while welcoming your little one to the world.
First, we will develop a compassionate understanding of what’s troubling you and what you hope to be different. From there, we will identify solutions to any barriers in your path and identify steps to find relief from your symptoms. Along the way, you will learn helpful coping strategies and develop deeper insight into your inner world and relationships.

I specialize in couples therapy and relationship issues, helping individuals and couples navigate conflict, emotional disconnection, and painful relationship patterns. Many of the people I work with struggle with resentment, disappointment, hurt, or feeling reactive and misunderstood. In therapy, we increase awareness of what gets activated inside you, develop tools to metabolize difficult relational emotions, and build tolerance for uncomfortable feelings. As you strengthen emotional regulation, you gain more choice in how you respond rather than defaulting to habitual reactions—so you can move toward more fulfilling relationships.

My therapy style is compassionate, collaborative, and grounded in evidence-based practice. I create a safe, nonjudgmental space where clients can explore their experiences honestly while feeling seen, supported, and empowered. I blend practical tools with emotional insight, helping clients understand both the “why” behind their patterns and the “how” of creating meaningful change.

We can work together in a collaborative environment to resolve personal, professional, emotional, transitional concerns, grief and fears.
I am an intent listener. I will help you hear what you are saying, and what you are not saying. It's about seeing patterns and defense mechanisms which may have existed since childhood. It's looking at the child within... a child who may still be running the show.

Those patterns may have helped you survive at one point, but now, they might be keeping you stuck: overthinking, overwhelmed, anxious, exhausted.
In our work together, we’ll slow things down so you can begin to notice what’s really going on beneath the surface. You’ll learn to recognize the parts of you that are trying so hard to help—and begin shifting the ones that are no longer serving you. This is deep, lasting work. But you won’t be doing it alone.

He is particularly passionate about supporting adolescents and young adults who identify as LGBTQ+ as they process trauma related to their identity, often examining how it affects their attachment style and capacity for intimate relationships with family, friends, and partners.

I also work with therapists, offering supportive space to process personal experiences and the unique challenges of caring for others.

When should I seek treatment for anxiety?
Everyone feels anxious at times, but when anxiety causes disruption to your daily life, it may be time to seek help. Such disruption can be mental, physical, or both: having fear dominate your thoughts, avoiding situations or objects that bring on feelings of anxiety, or experiencing shortness of breath, sweating, dizziness, or panic attacks. When these symptoms are recurrent and distressing, it may be time to talk to someone.

What are the most common types of treatment for anxiety?
Talk therapy, particularly cognitive behavioral therapy, is the most common treatment for anxiety. Studies have shown it is equally effective as medication. Other popular forms of therapy are popular, depending on a patient’s experience. Exposure therapy, for instance, can be useful for people dealing with fears and phobias, or who have experienced traumatic events. Dialectical Behavioral Therapy may be useful for patients who need help with emotion regulation. Anxiolytic medications, like benzodiazepines, can also help with calming a person enough to focus on the skills they’ve learned, and physical exercise has been shown to help symptoms of anxiety across the board.

How long does therapy for anxiety take to work?
The amount of time needed to alleviate symptoms depends on the severity of a person’s condition. Some therapies may take 5-20 weekly sessions to show results. Anti-depressant medications typically take two to four weeks before a benefit is felt. Anti-anxiety medications are felt typically within 20-30 minutes. Medications are best used to offer a patient a better headspace in which to work on techniques learned in therapy. Exercise, improved sleep habits, and meditation are effective, but takes weeks or months to show results.

How effective is treatment for anxiety?
Treatment for anxiety has been shown to be moderately to highly effective, according to a large body of psychology studies and analyses. For some people, treatment using CBT or exposure therapy alone is effective. Others respond best to a combination of medication and therapy.
