As a board-certified counselor and licensed psychotherapist, I am committed to assisting my clients in healing trauma, reducing stress and burnout, and increasing life satisfaction. I have a doctorate in Counseling Psychology and 23+ years’ experience counseling a spectrum of mental health concerns.

I believe that we all have an inherent ability to heal deeply, oftentimes we just need a safe environment to begin to open and step on this healing journey. When we realize that disoriented parts of ourselves cause imbalance and problems, the awareness itself leads the way to becoming whole and come home to ourselves. As we move through the story of life in time and space, we carry the past to the present and the present to the future. Our bodies – physical and subtle hold so much of our stories beneath the surface. My goal, using somatic-based approaches, is to help you reattune to our existential wisdom and bring lasting change.

Through authentic and transparent collaboration, Agnes empowers the individual and promotes mental wellness through empathy and evidence-based strategies. She practices DBT-informed therapy and psychodynamic therapy using humanistic and trauma-informed lenses to tie her practice together. In addition, Agnes uses mindfulness, yoga, nature, and art therapy to help the individual heal and discover more about themselves. She guides the individual to uncover and uproot, sometimes unconscious, issues stemming from past experiences and conditioning that inform limiting beliefs and thought patterns that are causing dysfunction/discomfort.

"My passion is working with children and adolescents ranging in age from 3-17; I also have experience with young adults. My specialty areas include ADHD, behavioral issues/aggression, anxiety, struggles with self-esteem and/or identity, emotional/mood difficulties, and childhood trauma/abuse. I also enjoy providing parent training and support. I have engaged in the practices of talk, play, sand tray, cognitive behavioral, lifestyle assessment, and other forms of expressive therapies to assist my clients in altering their behaviors, communicating their needs effectively, managing their anxiety/ mood, or processing past trauma.

Mike has a variety of experience helping individuals of all ages with Anxiety, ADHD, PTSD, Depression, and other life challenges and transitions.

At Within Holistic Counseling, we believe in getting to the root of the problem. Traditional talk therapy has been proven highly effective, so we combine this with meditation based therapy and somatic psychology to make it even better. To create lasting change in your life, you need to understand where your feelings are coming from. We are clinically trained in psychological techniques as well as, having specialized training in mindfulness meditation and the ability to create a holistic framework that will assist you in getting to the root of your patterns to heal and change them. Your work will be tailored individually for you.

My primary goal as a clinician is to create a warm, supportive, and safe environment that promotes deeper exploration and understanding of one’s emotional experiences. I enjoy teaching others how to cope in ways that are consistent with how individuals would like to see themselves.

I have 26 years experience in the provision of therapy in an outpatient setting to treat a diverse array of presenting problems. I assist clients in problem solving more productive and healthier ways to cope with their unique challenges. A guiding principal in my work is to aid clients in achieving congruence between the person they wish to be and the person they are, thereby continually striving for authenticity. I wish to aid my clients in achieving their fullest potential in order to live gratifying lives personally and professionally.

I am a Licensed Clinical Psychologist with an undergraduate degree in Psychology from Duke University and a PhD in Clinical Psychology from NIU. I work with children, adolescents, and adults. My commitment is to the well-being of clients striving to ensure they receive the therapeutic attention they deserve to effect the changes they desire. I have experience working with individuals and families who struggle with anxiety, depression, trauma, anger and interpersonal relationships. I incorporate a strengths-based approach in our work.

Each person that I meet with comes through my door with their own unique story and journey. It is important to focus on the strengths of each individual and work toward building coping skills to reach their goals.

I have been in the counseling field for over 10 years and I use an eclectic approach to counseling and performance skills coaching. I specialize in clients with PTSD, depression, anxiety, adjustment disorders, and relationship issues. I also specialize in athletes that are looking to improve their performance, become elite, or struggling to perform.

Sarah is a Nurse Practitioner providing medication management with The LodeStone Center in Woodstock, Illinois and via telehealth. Sarah’s clinical style is integrative and client-centered. She currently works with adult clients presenting with mood disorders, anxiety disorders and ADHD. She also approaches treatment evaluation from a primary care lens, helping to make recommendations or treat medical care priorities when they arise in the process of treating mental health issues.

I believe that for therapy to be successful there must be a strong therapeutic relationship, one where trust and safety are established, and I understand that it can take some time to build that type of relationship. I provide each client with a warm, nonjudgmental environment where trust and safety are more likely to occur. I believe that we do our best healing when we are ready for it and have the desire to change whatever is no longer serving us. I also believe that we must laugh at ourselves at times, if not often, and I see humor as an important part of therapy and life.
