To the outside world, you are thriving. You are successful, capable, and in control. Internally, you are obsessed with details, use busyness to outrun your brain, or overthink every decision you make.
I specialize in the “High-Achieving Mind” because I know the terrain. I understand the specific suffering of the professional who tries to “outwork” anxiety, perfectionism, and/or OCD. I also understand the unique grief of fertility struggles and IVF. This is often the intersection where high-performance meets biology, and you can no longer optimize, track, and execute your way to success.

You are exhausted. Physically and emotionally. Even though you are working so hard to do all the right things, you still end up feeling miserable and unfulfilled. Your days are spent going through a never-ending lists of tasks in your head and your nights are spent trying to escape and find some kind of relief. You long for moments of happiness, but when they come, you can't enjoy them because you know they won't last. You can't shake this nagging feeling that something bad will soon follow. You want to feel comfortable with yourself and your decisions. You want to believe that all this effort will lead to something good.

You planned for the nursery, the clothes, and the delivery, but nothing prepared you for how deeply overwhelming this chapter could feel. Perhaps you are navigating the heavy emotional toll of a gestational diabetes diagnosis, feeling like every number is a test you are failing. Maybe a traumatic birth or a stressful NICU stay left your nervous system trapped in that hospital room, making it difficult to feel the peaceful connection with your baby that you expected. You might simply be a loving parent in the toddler trenches, exhausted by constant behavioral power struggles and quietly wondering why your own anxiety feels so loud.

Many of the people I work with have come to believe—often without realizing it—that their worth depends on what they accomplish. They feel driven to succeed, avoid mistakes, and meet everyone's expectations because achievement has become tied to acceptance. Over time, that constant striving can lead to anxiety, perfectionism, loneliness, and the feeling that no matter how much they do, it never feels like enough. Often, my clients are confused and believe they have "no reason" to feel unhappy. The truth is these patterns developed for good reasons and may have even helped you succeed.

We use ERP, ACT, CBT, and ICBT.
OCD is predictably unpredictable. You know it's going to be there, you just never know what it's going to choose that day. It attacks the things you care about most and tells you who you are as a person, rather than you telling OCD who you are. It is a give and give relationship. There is no give and take.
If you've tried therapy before and it didn't click, the first thing I usually ask is: did you feel like your therapist actually understood you? Because that gap, between surface-level support and someone who knows what OCD really does to a person, is usually where things fell apart.

I believe that long- lasting, meaningful growth thrives in self-compassion, honoring shame, and creating purpose. Inherited and experienced trauma can remain in the body and inform our choices, so one of my goals is to offer a guiding hand in disentangling negative core beliefs from the body and sense of self. My therapeutic practice is filtered through a strengths-based and feminist lens, and as a queer therapist, I aim to foster an LGBTQIA+ affirming space, challenge racist systems, encourage body empowerment at every size, and promote sex-positivity.

I use a nonjudgemental, strength-based approach to help people identify and change unwanted patterns and problems in their lives. Some people come to me because they want to better understand and change their relationship to alcohol and/or other drugs. Couples often reach out to me because of violations of trust such as infidelity and deceit from addiction. These problems are particularly challenging to face and talk about. Anger, sadness, shame, and resentments can get in the way, making it difficult to heal, grow, listen, and to love.

Exposure Response Prevention (ERP) Therapists
Do I need exposure and response prevention therapy?
Many clients decide to seek help for obsessive thoughts and compulsive behaviors when these symptoms are distressing enough to disrupt everyday life. Any thoughts or behaviors that cause friction in close relationships are also worth addressing. In addition, the client’s symptoms don’t have to be severe for them to benefit from ERP therapy.
Is exposure and response prevention therapy part of cognitive behavioral therapy?
Exposure and response prevention is one specific type of CBT that focuses on behavioral change in response to triggering stimuli. It is related to exposure therapy but adds an additional component of preventing compulsive and harmful responses.
How long does exposure and response prevention therapy take?
While every patient is different, exposure and response prevention therapy typically lasts around 12 sessions, although some treatments can take longer. A therapist will determine if the treatment is complete based on how the client faces their fears, particularly the strongest ones. When a client feels less anxiety about stimuli that once evoked terror or distress, that is generally an indication that they are nearing the end of ERP therapy.
What are the limitations of exposure and response prevention therapy?
The most common pitfalls of exposure and response prevention therapy include not addressing a client’s core fears, allowing the client to avoid their most distressing stimuli, and using imaginary exposure when the client requires real-life exposure (and vice versa). ERP therapy is most effective when the client commits to the full course of treatment; if the client stops early or doesn’t practice what they have learned outside of therapy sessions, they are less likely to have successful outcomes.
