Therapy can be uncomfortable and awkward and strange. Getting to know someone new is scary, and it can feel like there’s so much pressure. My goal as a therapist is to help you feel as safe as possible while you discover the strength and skill you already have to heal and reach your goals, whatever those may be.

I believe that everyone deserves an opportunity to identify and live what matters to them the most—their values. Therapy is most successful when we feel heard while at the same time have someone stand with us and be present with the discomfort we face in life and take the next step forward. My aim is to build a working relationship where clients feel safe and seen, and where their actions are congruent or balanced with the lives they truly want to build for themselves. In this process, clients will be more present, open up to challenges in life and do what matters most to them.

Change is hard. Whether it’s a move, a loss of a loved one, or a new job, transitions can be some of the most challenging things you work through. Even if it’s a transition you expect or choose, often it still isn’t easy. You have to ask yourself, “How do I move forward?”. You may even ask yourself, “Who am I now?”. The stress of uncertainty can take your sleep, your appetite, your relationships, or even the activities you used to love. Sometimes you might have to numb those feelings just to get through your day.

I few of the main approaches I draw from include CBT, DBT, ERP, ACT, IFS, mindfulness, and expressive therapies like play and art therapy to help clients build coping skills, improve emotional regulation, and better understand themselves in a supportive space.
I enjoy working with children, teens, college students, and young adults, especially those navigating the uncertainty and pressure that often comes with growing up and major life transitions. Clients may be struggling with anxiety, depression, ADHD, low self-esteem, grief, or feeling overwhelmed by school, relationships, or identity. Some come in not knowing exactly what’s wrong, just that things feel heavy. I offer a collaborative, supportive space to slow things down, make sense of what’s happening, and build tools to feel more grounded and confident.

I have training in ERP and I-CBT for OCD, as well as ACT and EMDR.
You already know the areas of your life that are holding you back, but you don't know where to start - which has led you here. Maybe anxiety is causing you to avoid the people, places, and activities you used to enjoy. Maybe intrusive thoughts about causing harm, contamination, your identity, or about other scary topics take up your whole day. Maybe past life events are still causing you distress and you'd like to "turn down the volume" on your reactions. You worry that things will never feel "normal" again. You'd like to be able to work through the anxiety and frustration these things cause, and start living your life again.

You're not stuck because something is wrong with you. You're stuck because you're in the middle of something hard. Maybe you're navigating a career shift that feels scarier than it should. A relationship that's changing — or ending. A version of yourself you don't quite recognize anymore. You know what you should do, but you can't seem to trust yourself enough to do it. That's where I come in. I work with adults in life transitions — career changes, relationship shifts, identity questions — wrestling with the anxiety and self-doubt keeping them frozen.

Exposure Response Prevention (ERP) Therapists
Do I need exposure and response prevention therapy?
Many clients decide to seek help for obsessive thoughts and compulsive behaviors when these symptoms are distressing enough to disrupt everyday life. Any thoughts or behaviors that cause friction in close relationships are also worth addressing. In addition, the client’s symptoms don’t have to be severe for them to benefit from ERP therapy.
Is exposure and response prevention therapy part of cognitive behavioral therapy?
Exposure and response prevention is one specific type of CBT that focuses on behavioral change in response to triggering stimuli. It is related to exposure therapy but adds an additional component of preventing compulsive and harmful responses.
How long does exposure and response prevention therapy take?
While every patient is different, exposure and response prevention therapy typically lasts around 12 sessions, although some treatments can take longer. A therapist will determine if the treatment is complete based on how the client faces their fears, particularly the strongest ones. When a client feels less anxiety about stimuli that once evoked terror or distress, that is generally an indication that they are nearing the end of ERP therapy.
What are the limitations of exposure and response prevention therapy?
The most common pitfalls of exposure and response prevention therapy include not addressing a client’s core fears, allowing the client to avoid their most distressing stimuli, and using imaginary exposure when the client requires real-life exposure (and vice versa). ERP therapy is most effective when the client commits to the full course of treatment; if the client stops early or doesn’t practice what they have learned outside of therapy sessions, they are less likely to have successful outcomes.
